Compliments of the season community, and hope we are all already in the good spirit of Christmas holidays and celebration 🎉🎄😴.

I can start by saying that the resolutions we make at the beginning of the year most times does not come the way we planned and expected them. This indeed will show that as humans we only have the power to plan, choose and anticipate, but we should also always remember that we have the author and the finisher who is God. This should be one aspect of life we should always bear in mind.

Reflecting from the beginning of this year 2025, I started to see that efforts we make in life most times are supported by how motivating we are in our inner mind, the strong willed nature of our personality and lastly, the determination to achieve all that we believed we can. But all these are never easily possible without the grace of God.

My peace of mind was taking away from me at the beginning of this year, even without any new year resolutions because of the problems I was having then with accommodation due to how my Landlady disorganized my family plans ending 2024 December just after six months we moved into her house. This story I have told here before because it is going to be one incident I will never forget so easily. In fact, this incident brought some traumatic experience to my family and I because while others where enjoying the year 2024 Christmas 🎄, my family and I were always at our Lawyers office waiting from hours to hours for him to return from court and handle our own issue.

So into 2025, I never made any resolutions but only the believe that God will fight our battle of no genuine excuse of the quite notice we received, but only pure wickedness of man once they have little opportunity. And my fear 😨 then was how house rents in Lagos has tripped without house owners caring since their pensions has become the constant increment on their houses with slogans as “If you can not pay, move out” its crazy how humans act so irrational.

But God always decides for us even while we Keep doing our things. My family and I was able to secure and settle for an apartment we least expected, although very expensive, but God surprised us by making the funds available. This is one huge achievement for 2025, because I started hearing of how many tenants rents was increased with even two hundred percent. And many can not even afford a new place.

With this final month of 2025 gradually counting down, I can only express gratitude to God , first for the life He sustained us with, then, the good health of getting up every day, which is why we can still have hope to get to the end of the year. Am so grateful for every experience I encountered for this year 2025, both the good and the
bad because what mattered most is the breath of life that keeps us going.

And I tell you, despite the beginning of the years that was a struggle with the accommodation issue, I have experienced some good things especially from work and families. Am feeling so grateful for the school admission one of my daughters got. One dream we have been waiting for which finally came just few months back. This is one step forward and one item checked out off the bucket 🪣 list.

I do still have many other expectations but this is the year ending in just few weeks. Right now apart from work which will soon be put to a hold until mid-January 2026, my focus is on how to attend all the events and functions of the session, from weddings to end of the year thanksgiving parties 🎉, family fun fair get-to-gather and friends invitations to functions.

There is nothing better then ending the year in a good health even though we were not able to achieve all that we hoped and desired. So for me, I will take the remaining weeks and days in this final month to enjoy all the memories the season brings,
especially the holidays for Christmas 🎄🎅 celebration 🎉 while hoping for a better year in 2026.
