The status of teachers in India is very high and their role in the society is indispensable. They are called as the "nation builders" who provide knowledge, values ​​and guidance to the students for their all-round development. Teachers inspire and motivate, acting as life guides to help students navigate challenges and build confidence. The role of teacher does not ends until the classroom or within the school premises. A teacher is supposed to be torch bearer whenever they see their pupil in dark or misguided.

A teacher could be a good guiding force in life. I remember seeking career help from my teacher since the school days. They have the knowledge and experience in the subject and they know where their students are lacking. They are the building blocks of the society A teacher's role definitely does not end inside the classroom. It extends beyond the classroom to being a mentor, life guide, and role models. They are responsible for influencing students values, character, and future growth by providing support, instilling discipline, nurturing creativity, and guiding them beyond academics. Even sometimes acting as a counselor or coach when needed, to shape them into well rounded individuals. But it depends upon the person if they respect their teacher outside the classroom or not.

Teaching is the greatest act of optimism 💛

During my academics days, there were those bully group of lads who often creates nuisance in the classroom. Minding them is always challenge but the teacher give their best. But they fail as those never listen nor respect the presence of a teacher. I remember, these group of kids does not hesitate to smoke or even drink if they see a teacher around. A Teachers act as mentors, offering advice, support, and inspiration, helping students navigate academic, social, and personal challenges. But those kids listen to their teacher. I firmly believe that even though a teacher is ready to provide their support to the students or other people. It is up the individual to ovey and respect their advice. Being a guiding force in life, a teacher never want bad for anyone.

Education today is about preparing students for the real world, requiring teachers to equip them with broad skills beyond textbook knowledge. Teachers influence behavior and attitudes through observation, even outside school hours, by demonstrating positive conduct. A teacher prepares students for life along with bookish knowledge, making them a responsible and capable member of the society. Teacher who often referred as the Guru - provides divine guidance and the disciple (students)* moves from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge, with complete trust and unconditional love and respect for each other. There should be a two way communication to make everything smooth.

Teachers are foundational figures who contribute significantly to a student's academic journey and personal formation, making their influence invaluable both inside and outside the classroom walls. There should be mutual understanding that make the learning more fruitful.
