In the world we live in today, it is simple for people to become preoccupied with enjoying themselves before considering anything else. I believe that's the way life is or was intended to be. We all believe that we should take care of our immediate pleasure before considering what else we should do.
Only a small percentage of the people we have now would forego their present needs and pleasures in favour of the future because they are goal-oriented and think creatively, but this is the norm and reflects the way human nature is constructed.
First, by "business," I can refer to anything that involves developing skills or has the potential to generate income. However, if you look at young people today, you'll notice that they prioritize having fun before taking anything seriously.
I think young adults in their twenties have the chance to make time commitments and make plans for the rest of their lives. The problem with putting pleasure first at this stage of their lives is that they would be unable to make plans and would only realize too late that they had put pleasure before developing a talent or preparing a future business.
Many young people who put pleasure first—and who may not have wealthy parents—do so at the expense of their future. They continue to assist others in running their businesses and generating income so that they might eventually be paid pennies and realize how much they abused their youth.
As for me, I consider myself fortunate to have taken the time to fully understand what I need and what to prioritize first. I am fortunate to be surrounded by minds that are similarly driven and more interested in winning the battle than in enjoying themselves.
In order to free my mind from social conventions where one can easily be pressured by peers into pleasures with the mindset that "Life is too Short," enjoy while you can, I spend some of my time researching wealthy people of today and how they spent their youth. I also spend time reading business mindset pages. Since I don't come from a wealthy family, maintaining the same mindset puts my future in jeopardy. The only option for me to be directed is to stay away from social conventions.
We have lost sight of the crucial ability of delayed gratification, which enables us to work hard and ensure a brighter future. I am aware that anything can happen in the future, but taking a chance is preferable to waiting for luck and wasting the potential to develop.
Please remember that age is just a number if you are reading this and are not a young person. It's never too late to change your course and put your expertise or business above any pleasure you may experience. The result of your choice would then materialize right before your eyes.

Even Jesus Christ in his infinite wisdom advice us in Matthew 6:33 "to seek his kingdom and his righteousness first and every other thing shall be added unto us", this only goes to support what you've said here today.
Most times I just laugh when I see the youth of today waste their life on things that are only beneficial for a while and forget the things that will last forever. The wisest man once said that, we should remember our creator in the days of our youth, why? It's only when you are vibrant you can do all that you should do. You can't expect a 60 years old man to do what a 20- 40 years old man can do, the only thing the 60 years old person has more is experience.
Life is too short? Yes it is but what do you do with the short time you know you have? Do you rather spend that little time (as we call it) at a club, party having a good time or we rather invest in ourselves and please our creator?. The earlier we choose business (For me I'll say this is anything that is of good report and praiseworthy) over pleasure, the better for us and even the once behind us.
And you are very right, age is just a number so we shouldn't use that to rate our maturity in doing things because if we do, we might get it all wrong. No wonder the Bible also advised us to be humble (note:there was no age attached).
I've said a lot already and it's feeling like it's already too much but I hope someone gets my point.

Yeah the bible is just like a manual for life. It contains a lot of what happens now and what that would still happen in future.

We have a baby and a toddler around. Both of them tend to need our attentions continually especially when we just start working or doing anything important. I always regret that I should have started being more serious about making money before they were born.
Children are gift from God so I will say it's a blessing, you just have to learn from that situation and advice others so they will be more careful and not make the same mistakes in the future. God has made you a teacher since you failed to be a student and learn from others who have been there before.
Now it's your turn to advise others who are about making similar mistakes as yours and share your experiences with them so they won't make the same mistake as you. You giving advice to them and they listen, is something to be happy about.
No matter how hard it is now for you, God is still providing you with all you need to care for your family, you just have to keep learning and improving on yourself.

Baby items are freaking expensive, that is for my country, and I know that alone can eat all of one's savings.
I think that the moment tends come when it comes. Often without any notices. We tried to have a baby for several years. Now we have 2 boys.
Baby items are getting even more expensive. That is why we receive / send used clothes and so on from / to other parents. We always share advices and information on how to take care of baby. We are helping each other.
I love the fact that parents are helping parents. That’s really nice. This type of help and those advices would go a long way for new parents.
Yes. And that helps us to build social bonding and friendship. That is another wonderful experience of having kids.

I try to have this conversation with people half my age. I didn't party in my 20s and I don't drink. When the people I went to highschool was going out and getting smashed every weekend, I was on my grind. Caught some crap for it too. Now in our 40's they are all stuck in the same dead end jobs they had 20 years ago. Meanwhile I am making at least 5x what they are and can do all the things they cannot.

Business should of course come before pleasure because that business will generate more money for more and more pleasures. However, if we place pleasure as our priority, we might end up not having anything tangible to sustain life. No matter how tempted we can be to enjoy life, self-discipline is needed to achieve the best of life and not a temporal pleasure.
I remember last Christmas period when my family and I were planning to travel, I requested that hubby buy us a car🤦🤦 since we can't use the one available to travel for a long distance. He declined immediately because he has a business project at hand and wouldn't want any obstacles at all. He said I should make up my mind to manage anyhow while moving around in the village with the kids because getting a new car isn't an option until his business stands, then we can buy a car from the profit.
Honestly, I understand with him but then I wanted comfortability🤦, that's the pleasure but then, I can be that comfortable when I exercise patience for that business to stand ...up till now, I am still a patient dog oo😄, the business project still on progress, car, I haven't seen but I am optimistic about it
