I JUST WISH FOR STEADY ELECTRICITY SO BAD

Right now, I wish I could leave this country for one with reliable electricity. It's very inconvenient that the electricity in my current location is unstable. Fortunately, I have a generator that I can use to power my devices, but there is a fuel shortage, so having a generator is currently useless.

Living is always easier where there is stable power to charge devices, pump water to cook and bathe, and do all things that can be done with power, and right now, I am irritated having to wait for the power to be turned ON, and hoping the power supplied is not a low voltage supply, or having to move around in school in hopes that there will be light.

I believe this is a planned scheme because there is no light whenever there is a fuel shortage because they rarely give us power when there is a fuel shortage. This has become far too consistent, and I believe it is because they are attempting to create a need for people to buy fuel for generators and queue for fuel when it is scarce outside.

I think the idea is to CREATE NEED....

Because fuel is in short supply, the price of fuel has skyrocketed. I'm still trying to figure out how the price of fuel has risen from 167 naira per litre to 220 naira per litre. Why? Transportation, particularly to and from school and church, has become more expensive.

I despise being idle and having nothing to do. I am very accustomed to using my system for almost everything, and I primarily use my phone for calls. So when my system goes down, I'm always too lazy to pick up the phone. It even comes down to texts on Whatsapp and Discord, which I prefer on the system rather than mobile.

One of the reasons I require constant electricity is that I work a lot with my system and enjoy its comfort. In addition, I require it for my online school where I study Cloud/DevOps Engineering.

Because I need more power for my system, I'm thinking about getting a power station with an AC output so I can plug my system charger into it, but the one I found is quite expensive and has gone above what I can afford.

This is the power station I discovered while searching the internet for one!

The market price for the power bank is around 80,000 naira, or about $103, which is quite a lot for me in my current situation. I'm still debating whether to save for it or buy a new battery for my system because my current battery isn't very good. It has a maximum backup time of one hour, which is inconvenient and frustrating.

The power station in the video is built like a power bank, but it has an AC output that can power your television, fans, and other household devices. That's one cool feature of the power station. I might not be able to get it right away, but I'm sure I'll be able to get it eventually.

Well, this has been the situation in Nigeria for a very long time, though the recent rise in the cost of things is so alarming, I still can't believe that I witnessed a generation that bought fuel at the rate of ₦95 per litre which seems like mission impossible these days.

The most tragic aspect is the way the price of fuel affects every commodity in the market, a bag of sachet water just became ₦300 at my resident.

These is more than just inflation, it seems like a regular tactics used by the manipulative elite to control the behaviour of the people, which involves "keep them broke and they will crave for our support".

I really hope this phase we are experiencing in the country pass by as soon as possible because I don't know how long this can be tolerated before riot breaks out.

If you eventually find a way out, pls let me know, a friend in need is a friend indeedπŸ˜…πŸ˜….

Imagine. Bag of water that used to be sold for 100 is now #300. The increment is just massive. Making it very very difficult to live in this country.

Right now, any opportunity to JAPA would not be wasted.

When I read the title, something in my head said β€œyou and every other Nigerian”. My Nigerian friends are going to blast me for this, especially @queenstarrπŸ˜‚

Did I hear the lady reviewing the power station say her name is xawi? @b0s Is this the xawi I know? I know she’s not, but I can’t help but think it is. She has such a cute voice lol.

The power station is very small for what it powers. It looks like a bluetooth speaker at a glance. It’s basically a larger version of a portable power bank. I like it. Don’t have much use for it, but if I had the money, you can be sure I’d buy it just to have it. 2.5 hours with all those appliances? Yeah pass me samadat.

Lol. Tell me what you came to your mind.

I think you Ghanians enjoy steady electricity?

Hahaha, It's definitely not @xawi.

sorry to hear about the unreliable and costly infrastructure!
I hope there is a way you can find a nice solar-battery power station solution. It sucks to rely on oil companies and the like for daily needs! Especially sad in a country with so much resource wealth as yours!!

yeah a solar power station would seem to be the best actually... since I would not have to wait for electricity before I can charge it. This is the flaw I have with the power station that I talked about above.

I know they are still expensive, but hopefully prices come down and some of your tokens pump! I think there are also efforts to create compact and quiet blade-less wind turbines. Hopefully we all can be free of big energy and have our own grids someday.
Good luck to you!

You can come and stay in my house. These days, we have almost an uninterrupted power supply. It's often from 10 PM- 5:30am/8:30am-6:00PM. πŸ₯Ί

Send me the address to your house, let me relocate. 😁

Hehehehe.... What a cute lie from a cute human 😊

Smiles... You are at Abuja right?

Yes I am πŸ™ˆ

Sadly our country Nigerian has been unable to fight this issue for decades now, I thought we would have enough electricity supply by now but instead, it’s even getting worse by the day.

Like fr 😭😭πŸ₯Ί.. so annoying.

We don’t have water for like 3days now.. though we do have light at least everyday (but β€˜straight light’ like 24/7) but it is low voltage πŸ’”

Fuel is not even only scare but expensive πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ.. this country have a lot to deal with honestly.

Well, it is a very nice idea to get a power station…. May God provide.

Damn! No light for 3 days. I am now imagining how difficult it would be for you guys. I can’t live without water, it is a damn necessity. And unfortunately, a bad power supply usually lead to unavailability of water.

This solar power station seems to be the answer most of us need here in Nigeria as regard to the unstable NEPA light. If wishes were horses, you will just get it plus a new battery for your system and that settles it (I wish you would be able to get it with time) . Here is my side as well, having NEPA light is becoming like an American visa. A liter of fuel here is #250 at filling stations. Black market is 400 to #500 per liter. Transport fare so high affecting the already high cost of food stuffs.

It's well oo

Β 2 years agoΒ Β

I am not totally sure how much they sell it here, but from what my roommate was telling me, he said they wanted to sell for him for #300 naira per litre which is kind of outrageous.

For Transport fare ehn... I am sure I can relate to how things are over there. It would probably be the same.
