CHOCOLATE DONUTS WITH PARFAIT || FOOD AND WORK

Unless you're new to my blog, you probably already know I'm a proud FOODIE. So, while I was working on my blog yesterday, I felt like eating something other than the pepper rice I was served yesterday, which nearly killed me. Yes, I had to eat the rice and stew again despite my refusal, but it came with the consequences of a near-death experience.

So when I happened to come across a Whatsapp food salesperson, I felt compelled to order a Donut and a parfait. Before ordering, I assumed it would be around 300 naira ($0.4) per piece, but when I inquired, I was told it was 500 naira ($0.7) per piece. Unfortunately, they do not sell it by the piece but by the plate, and each plate contains three Donuts.

I expected to be able to negotiate the price of the donuts down to $0.4, but the seller seemed to be sticking to the initial price she gave me. I decided to order them because I was hungry and paid 1500 naira ($2.14) for the plate of doughnuts.

Ordering a parfait was not my original plan; I was planning on getting a 5alive soft drink, but @olujay suggested I try a parfait because I had never had one before. So I requested a yoghurt parfait, which was readily available. The parfait was available for the lowest price of $2.14, which is 1500 naira.

My expenses were already piling up because I could get a meal and a soft drink for $2 at a local shop and be completely satisfied. But I didn't have a choice; let me just order it anyway.

It cost me $0.29 to have the order delivered to my location... I ended up paying $4.6 for the entire order, including delivery.

Look at how lovely the doughnuts and parfait are. The donuts were filled with chocolate, making them not only delicious but also sweet. I would have eaten the entire snack if @olujay and @t-gold hadn't been in the house to cut my ration. I'm not a cheapskate, so I had to give each of them a Donut, even though there was only one left for me.

If you think @olujay is a gentle person, think again. He is not when he is around people like me. You'd never believe it if I told you he finished this Donut in three bites. That demonstrates how much of a foodie olujay is. After he finished his donuts, I had to secure mine before it fell into the hands of a true foodie.
