No one in his right mind should feel comfortable punishing someone for the sins committed even before he or she was born, it just doesn't sound nice at all.
I've heard about these OSU people and it's so sad hearing people talk about it even in this generation, it has even ended potential marriages and all that and it doesn't in anyway rights any wrong at all.

People should be meant to face the consequences of whatever THEY THEMSELVES did and partook in, and not what someone else did
