When choosing where to live, one thing that we need to ask ourselves is on whether we want to live within a rural or an urban area. Both options got their own perks but at the same time, they also have their own downsides so rather than having right or wrong or wrong choice, it is more a matter of a person's preference. Like living on a remote area lets you have a more peaceful place to live but in the process, you might have to give up the different types of entertainment that you can enjoy in a buzzing city. For me personally, I prefer to live in a rural place and as for why, I will be sharing it within this post.

Ever since I was a child, I had been living in a rural area where you can see many trees growing around and most of the lands were used for farming. Through time, many things have already change in the place that I live like the stuff that I briefly discussed at the beginning of this post and unlike before, I can have access on basic necessities but still, it remains to be a quite and peaceful place. At the same time, there were way less crimes and pollution compared to big cities and the traffic was not even a thing. Many of the residents had their own backyards where they can plant vegetables to eat while some will use their empty space to take care of poultry which allows them to reduce their expenses and sometimes even use it as a source of income. If there is only one thing that is lacking here is that there were few place we can go for entertainment and people can't really use their mobile data as long as they live here.

That said, for a short while, I was also able to spent some time living in the city. It was during my college days when we are running out of time to finish out thesis so for a couple of weeks, I live together with my classmates while working on our thesis and through that, we spent most of the nights without sleeping so having nearby establishments that opens 24/7 where we can buy food and other stuff was something that I could not have in my place. There were also different types of establishments for entertainment that you can access within a few minutes of travel such as bars, sports centers and malls. And looking at the many buildings around, anyone finding jobs has a better chance of finding a work. However, this is also where pollution and crimes becomes more rampant while having a higher cost of living, not to mention, the traffic that will always cost people their precious time. Also, with the city noise extending through tough the night, I find it really hard to rest even if I'm very exhausted and with that reason alone, I will always prefer to live outside of the city lights.

Having a good rest after a long day of work is one of my ways of taking care of my health and if I want my body to have a better rest, living in a remote area is the better option. Having a quite place also helps me to collect my thoughts whenever I tried to write my post. We can argue that I just need some time until I eventually get used to the city life but if you remember, my job is located in the city and if not only because I like my work, I would much prefer to stay outside the city so that I do not need to deal with the constant traffic. Unfortunately, there was not much opportunity for jobs in rural areas so I need to persevere but at least, I could spend the rest of my time living outside the city lights.

Thank you for reading my post and see you on the next one!

Living in the rural area is the best, life there is so simple and easy going. Most of the criminal activities that take place there were brought by those who lived in the urban areas.

Yeah simple and slow life.. and you're right that most crimes are made by outsiders cause in rural areas, most people knows one another.
