Greetings!
The yuletide season is a season I love so much and I'm happy to be alive to witness yet another one of its kind. Also, before anything else, I just want to thank God for his grace to keep me alive in sound health to see this year's Christmas season.
One thing that I love about this season is that it's characterized by love and not only that, but also the act of giving which signifies shared love. It's a season of white and red which is the special color meant for the season which people believe to be a special color made for love.
Having talked about the yuletide season, i would love to share with us my most favourite yuletide memory.
Without any doubt and delay, I would like to let's know that my favorite yuletide memory comes from when I was small. When everything needed for the celebration was being catered and provided for by my parents.
In those days all we used to do, or let me say all that concerned us was to make ourselves available for the yuletide celebration, everything needed would be provided for by our parents.
Now, back to the subject of the matter, my own favorite memory of the yuletide season was that of 1999. The year 1999 yuletide celebration was a celebration I would never forget in my life as it still rings a bell in my ear till tomorrow.
That year, when everything has been put in place by my parents as usual for the season starting from the me seeing the santa claus and attending the various Christmas carol programs, my parents still made the usual provision of getting me new clothes, shoes, wristwatch and gobble as we used to call it back then available for me.
Aside from this, my hope of eating the Christmas day special delicacies was still intact as everything had been put in place weeks before the Christmas day.
However, something extraordinary happened and it's the surprise arrival of my uncle from the US. When we heard about his arrival with his family of four, we were so happy. They came to visit it prior to the Christmas day celebration and it's so fun to see them as I was so excited seeing them after a very long time.
When they came into our place, they came with gifts and all sorts of other things for the family and we were all happy to have received them and with what i saw them bringing to our house, i was so happy to have had them as August visitors.
But as they were about to leave for their apartment in the night, Samuel, the second child of the family who was of the same age bracket with me asked me to follow them, I looked at my parents to see if they would grant his request, but they had no choice but to allow me to go with them.
Going with them that year changed the usual narration of my Christmas celebration for the year and I can boldly say that I really enjoyed my yuletide celebration that year as we were taken out to so many places. That year was my first year of visiting the zoo, the cinema, the mall and even the beach. How could I forget such a memorable day in my life? Although since then I have been visiting the said places, not at once as of that year, but on rare occasions.
In conclusion, all the special activities that happened that year, made it one in a lifetime special yuletide season for me.
