To all those people who are reading this from a country other than Pakistan, you guys are in for some amazing stuff I am about to share concerning how a wedding goes here in Pakistan.

For starters, the wedding consist of a number of events leading up to the main event that we call "Baraat or Shaadi". The event is full of love and warmth on all corners of the Banquet Hall with people pouring in from all sides, taking pictures or meeting their once known family or friends with all the happiness that's inside them. Why am I labelling this meeting as "once known" is because many of the family or friends, in their busy life, don't get to meet each other, for days, months or even years but when they do, it seems like they just met yesterday as they talk and meet each other freely and warmly.

Coming to this particular event, this wedding was a bit different as it consisted of leading CEO's of Pakistan from the printing and chemical industry as the wedding was of the son of one of the CEO's in business.

Considering the elite in the surroundings, the hall had many bouncers and security as well to look out for them. I personally met with 4 of the leading business men of Pakistan and was introduced to them by my father who I went with and who's in the business for an equal amount of time as them.

Food! that's the word, it is the one thing that a Pakistani wedding is famous for apart from the cultural rituals. A Pakistani wedding menu is something that's precisely thought about and is carefully considered as mostly people here are foodies and can even get displeased if they don't like the food that was offered.

On the contrary, as this wedding consisted of the elites, the menu had a lot to offer and it was really well sought after, that too with a really important message on top of it, "Please do not waste food".

I opted for Beef Biryani which is a must to have, a speciality of Pakistan, and this dish alone is the heart of every gathering and every event, people just love it. Here in Pakistan we say "Biryani is not food, its a feeling and an emotion".

After Biryani I went for the Mexican Chicken, Malaysian Kabab, Fish, and Chicken Balochi Tikka, all delicious in their own way but Mexican Chicken got 10 points from me on it's mouth watering taste.

Soon after I finished eating the main courses, I went for the dessert, Ice Cream! I got the chocolate chip while my father had the strawberry scoop. It was delectable while it lasted.
Just Before going, I had this guilt of eating too much and not maintaining the calories so I went and got myself a cup of Green Tea, it takes a small stone to break a large glass right? That's exactly what I thought while drinking Green Tea after all that load of food I ate.

Lastly, the environment, the Hall was based on a very cozy theme of a garden with strings of leaves hanging down from the ceiling along with bouquets emerging in between the lining of the ceiling.

The front of the hall had a great view to provide, again the Garden-ish feel with an artificial waterfall dripping down in a small pond with a white swan emerging from it. It was just too pleasing to the eyes that I kept gazing at the view constantly while having food.

There is still alot to say and tell about the Pakistani culture and wedding but for now, this is as short as I could have told you guys about it. Hope y'all enjoyed reading and viewing how it all goes in, cause to me, all that matters is the effort and the warm welcome of the host and the happy smiles of the special two in the end who are starting a journey of happily ever after together!

Hi Friend ,Your attention to detail and descriptions provide a wonderful glimpse into the richness of the culture and the warmth of the event. Thank you for sharing your experience of a Pakistani wedding.
By the way The message of not wasting food is especially commendable, Your post is a lovely reminder of the importance of celebrating life's milestones with those we care about.

Thankyou for reading, here in Pakistan nearly every other wedding event is dealt with the same love and warmth and the basic goal is to keep the people happy as they have come to join you in your happiness.

The message of not wasting food is actually something that's not very common in the wedding halls but it was there on every table in this particular banquet which was a very caring touch and impressive as well.

Thankyou for letting me know that you loved it. Have a good day friend!

This wedding screams OPULENCE!

Every detail is so elegant and rich. It's amazing.
Here I was thinking that Biryani is an Indian dish. I didn't know it was eaten in Pakistan too. It's such a blessing that I can experience a little bit of your culture from here.
The picture that has all the food makes me so hungry, I want to try the Mexican chicken too😂

I wanted to see a picture of the man and the woman of the occasion; the bride and groom. I'm sure they enjoyed their wedding. Thanks for sharing such a momentous occasion with us.
Save some Mexican chicken for me🤗
