A Perspective on Parental Sins and Children's Lives

Before I take a stand on a topic like this I think it’s very important to state that I don’t believe in karma. Yh, I know there are a lot of people who believe that what you’ve done will come back to hunt you no matter where you’ve reached in life. I actually believe in that partially but then I also believe that people don’t always pay for wronging others. It’s just the way of life and we have to deal with it as it is.

I particularly say this so when someone does something to you, you either speak up or do it back. I believe in paying evil with evil at times cause when that person wants to repeat it he or she will think twice.

One thing I absolutely don’t believe in is kids pay for the kids of their parents. As much as character traits are inherited, we only get to enjoy the good and bad names that our parents have. Even science has proven that kids do copy character traits from their parents so I don’t think people are particularly wrong if they have reservations over working with someone because his mother or father was bad.

One thing that I don’t believe in is that kids pay for the wrong that their parents have done. Why should an innocent child pay for the bad deeds of his or her parents in the first place? Some people will attribute this to karma all the time. Then I always ask; so is it that that parent is also receiving his karma for that he did to his parents when he was with them? I mean, as much as people believe in karma they also believe that what ever bad you did will be done back to you. So what is that person paying for in particular?

So in this world that we are in we all carry our own cross. No one should be punished for a crime he or she knows nothing about. But when I say this I also look at the vice versa. When a minor does something his or her parents are mandated to bear the consequences because that child is too small to be punished. So if that is the case then why can’t a child also pay for his parent’s sin?

Well the world isn’t a fair place after all heh? That’s how life works and even though I also done side with the idea of parents being punished for the wrongs of their kids we can’t particularly change that law.

We all like to be attached to good and it’s in this same vane that we do not want to be associated with a bad name. So as much as some might side with the notion of being sided with that crime, I don’t think it’s best.

What do you think about this? Is it write for a child to suffer for what he knows nothing about? Is it’s the case then why do kids enjoy the good name of their parents? Is it not all a cheat?
