Hi fellow Hivians,
Could someone kindly explain what my Blog is for and how to use it most effectively?
So I know what a normal blog is, but not how I would use my hive blog.
If I create a post in my Community, then I have the option to Cross Post it to another community, or even add it to my Blog. But not the other way around.
It seems that if I post something to my Blog, it goes to an obscure hole that no one else would see unless they specifically, for some unknown reason, come and look at my profile.
If I post something on my Blog, I don't have the option to later Cross Post it to try and raise awareness of my post.
So I'm curious how others use their blog and how they gather awareness of it?
Many thanks,
Dave
PS. I would be mega grateful if someone could please comment on my 'Help Me Introduce Myself' post in my blog here...

My Blog section contains all posts that are reblogged by you. It can be your post or other's post as well. On the other hand, My Post section contains your own posts only.
This is a misconception. Your post isn’t going anywhere. If you publish a post in your blog (not in any community), then there's a good chance your followers might visit your post. Exactly, that is why you should build/grow own audience on Hive. Also, as an alternative, you can publish your contents in popular communities where there are enough audience to go through your contents.
Thanks mahirabdullah, that's what I thought, it's mainly for followers. But followers would presumably see anything I post in my community also, so the blog aspect is confusing to me because it limits access, whereas posting to a community grants greater access. 👍
