The name of this beautiful green insect is the green jewel bug. It is one of the most beautiful and colourful insects of about seven and a half thousand species in the genus Hemiptera As a student of Zoology, I am very happy to learn about this insect. They have beautiful round black spots on the back and a little pink on the abdomen.

There is a combination of other colours in their body. The Green Jewel Bug is considered to be one of the most important colourful moths in the East Asia Zone. They are also called green insects. Although they are very beautiful to look at, they do damage to plants, they do damage by eating leaf sap.

The green Jewel Bug feed on plant sap, but when they absorb excess sap, a type of virus enters the plant tissue, causing extensive damage to the plant. They have some glands in the abdomen area through which bad breath comes out. The Green Jewel Bug works to protect itself from this stench. Again, flies are often seen to be attracted to their smell. Many people identify Green

Jewel Bug as Beetle, but it is not Beetle, they are Bug. Bug eats plant leaf sap but Beetle cannot absorb plant leaf sap. These beautiful bugs do not harm humans but they do a lot of damage to plants. They are mostly found in the green shrubs around the area. I have seen the existence of this insect in several places in our area. It's nice to see this beautiful bug.
