RE: THE DARK SIDE OF CONVENIENCE

in Hive Learners2 days ago

This is just so sad, and parents are playing major roles in this. You see parents in church giving their phones to their kids to watch cartoons because they don't want the kids to disturb.

Some give their kids phones because they say they didn't want the kids to go out, but what these kids are watching at home is even worse than going out.

It's now a thing of competition on whose child is using a phone and not.

I remember asking a primary 5 girl a simple calculation one time, and she was looking for her calculator. I had to caution her that she should only have access to a calculator when she's in ss1.

That’s just it oo. Parents play a huge role in all of this and hence the saying that charity begins at home.

Parents are too busy doing other things like looking for food and money for their children and they neglect the fact that they those children need proper guidance to be better tomorrow.

It’s a good thing you cautioned your daughter. Once in a while you can do a test for her on how much she can calculate and reward her well for it. That will encourage her to want to do better.

Thanks for your input, Ozd. 🥰

Thanks, she isn't my daughter would suggest what you said to her mom
