It's Almost Impossible Not To Break Rules

in Hive Learners2 years ago (edited)

It's funny when you look back to your high school days and remember all the funny things you did back then. Even when I try advising my nephews on how to go about things in school especially how to solve some problems, it got me laughing at myself because I knew then when they advised me, I do what I feel is right and neglect the other.

Back in high school, I was very obedient to the school rules and I made sure I avoid trouble especially when I know that I will be flogged. One thing is for sure, I never allowed my seniors to override me because once you give them the chance, then they will think they have the right to punish you or do anything to you. After I got into an arguments with one of my senior, I was surprised I stood up for myself and ever since then, he never came close to me.

School life is fun but you can't enjoy all the fun when there is no punishment and breaking of school rules 😂, I did some silly things in school that got me punished and one thing about me is that I hate to see cane and before it even comes closer to me, I would have started crying. On several occasions, my name has entered the names of noise makers because I can't be in class and you will tell me not to talk or disturb the class. Once this kind of rule is given, be rest assured that you must see Nancy's name there😜, it's more like a tradition except I'm not in school that very day and the only thing that will make me not to be in school is probably when I'm sick 😷

Aside my name appearing on the list of noise makers, I also don't like when I'm being forced to do something. When I enter SS1, the management introduced music as a subject which means we have to go for music classes, an additional reading for me. The first day I went for music class with my very close friend Glory, I didn't like the class so I told myself that I will never attend the class again. My friend Glory always like following my footsteps because we're very close even till date. In each class we attended, you will have to write attendance, but I refused to go for the class likewise my friend. Though we were not the only ones that dodge the music class.

After the class, the music teacher waited for us to have the next class before he could punish those that missed his class. Unfortunately we were caught and were severely punished. Truth be told, since I have been in that school, I have never been punished the way our music teacher did to us. My friend Glory got injured in the process. We were flogged like as if we were thieves. Ever since then, I didn't miss music class again, though I might not pay attention to what he's teaching but I just have to be in the class. With time I started falling in love with music and I had to learn one instrument which is violin 🎻

But, yes there is a but in it😜😜 I don't know how to play the violin, I only use it because I liked it then.

THANKS FOR READING! SEE YOU IN MY NEXT POST

Lol! I was also a victim of this act back then in high school days. Mehhn! I hated calculation subjects and tend to dodge during the periods for these subjects.. long story short, I got severely punished for it oo😂

From that day onwards, I never missed any subject whether I liked the subject or not😕

The punishment you got for missing out in music classes helped you though.. At least it helped you to know the basics of how to use a violin..lol😅
Nice story!

😂. I understand the frustration of having to attend a class you clearly don't wanna be a part of. Back in the day mine was Yoruba I used to skip it whenever I got the chance to.
Thank you for sharing. 😊

If you were not in class, the whole students would know someone isn't in school 😂😂😂
I also remembered missing Yoruba class even when I am a Yoruba girl. I hate the class that I don't attend. Though I had C in my Waec and I was shocked how it happened.

Hahaha God really helped you to get C in your result.

Of course, they know when I'm not around 😂😂😂

It was very painful, I cried all day

The only class I missed was Yoruba class, but then, no one in the science department enjoyed it so we were always looking for a reason to leave the class. It got so bad that by SS3 it was completely scrapped for science students.
Our voices were heard. 😂
Thank you for sharing this with us.
