Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learner's featured post. The festive season that happens at the end of every year is something we all look forward to. Whether you are part of the celebration or not, you just look forward to that period of the year because of the holiday that comes with that period. Many workers and even some students have little or no break from work or school until this festive season, and for that reason they pray and look forward to it; it is more like the only time of the year they get to spend with family and friends, as every other time work or school comes in the way, and for that reason they do not take the holiday that comes with the festive season for granted.

The yuletide season (Christmas and New Year period) is that time of the year we have to ourselves, as every company or firm gives workers a break to spend time with family and friends. It is that time people get to see friends and family members they have not seen in months; it is always that time of the year where a meal is prepared and served on the table, and the entire family and even friends just dig in, creating memories that will live on even after the season is over. The yuletide season actually helps many families to bond better, as that is the only time they get to see each other, and for that reason they treasure it and will not want anything to come in the way of making the season a memorable one, as they know they will have to wait for another yuletide season before they see each other again.
My family has not been any different during this season. Before the season everyone is scattered all over the country and even outside the country, but once the season starts approaching everyone is expected to start making preparations on how to travel to our hometown, which is like a meeting point for everyone. There we all get to meet and see each other, hang out and bond, and visit each other in our different houses, and on a fixed day every member of the family assembles at the house of the eldest of the family, where any matter that needs sorting out is discussed, and then there are drinks and food for when the time to be merry comes.
It is kind of a family tradition that everyone has to find a way to be present for all of these during the yuletide season; if you have an issue with a family member or are in disagreement with any arrangement in the family, it is during this period that the issue is addressed, as the family is all about unity, which is the only way progress is ensured. The funny thing is that it is not like it is mandatory or anyone will be fined if they fail to show up, but if you really care about your family's progress, you will try to be present unless it is beyond your control.

This year I will be celebrating the yuletide season in a different style (alone). I will not be travelling home like I have always done in the past years because I have a lot on my plate and won't be able to meet up. I am trying to see my clearance through while supervising a site project. The client wants it done before the new year celebration, which is putting us on a tight schedule as we are trying to meet up. For that reason, I will be celebrating the yuletide season alone and in my base and not travelling home to spend the season with family. I will miss out on all the fun that comes with getting to see family I haven't seen in a while, but it is beyond my control.
I feel your pain that you can't go back home to celebrate with family but I trust you would still enjoy the yeletiude season 🧡🧡
I will try to make it a memorable one still.
Thanks for stopping by.
Oh my God. Loneliness is not good for this season. So sorry about that. I wish you the best where you are. Merry Christmas
