Hello, everyone.
Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. When it comes to sports, there are lots and lots of sport lovers out there, people who would do anything to either participate or watch others participate in the game they love. As much as sports are fun and entertaining, a lot of dangers are associated with these sports. There are contact sports that leave me wondering if the players are really humans; games like rugby will leave you thinking the players don't have a family to return home to.
When it comes to sports, both teams or players will want to do anything to ensure victory, even if it means their opponent getting injured or hospitalized. Sometimes it is by accident, like in the case of football, but in the case of boxing or kickboxing, the only way you get to win is by causing enough damage to your opponent. We have a referee that regulates these games, and we have this amount of injuries. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if there were no referees at all; that means the injury rate from these contact sports will be out of this world. contacts sports leave you anxious from start of the game down till the end of the game without giving the space you need to vstch yoir breath.
There are many individuals out there who do not enjoy contact sports because of the violence involved; some people don't even bother to watch as they cannot stand the violence, and there are people who are there for the violence involved. In contact sports like boxing and kickboxing, the fun is in the violence; there are also people who enjoy contact sports like football, where the violence can only be accidental and not intentional.
Some contact sports like boxing and kickboxing should be kept away from kids because of what goes on while they are at it; even I, as a kid, watched boxing and always went about practicing what they do with my siblings. As much as these sports are fun and entertaining with so many emotions involved, we should not forget the violence associated with them and the dangers it exposes kids to. Countless times I got a dislocation while imitating boxers and wrestlers. While we enjoy it, we should regulate how much of it kids get access to.
My answer to this question is no, there are already regulations in place to make the sport safe for the players, or should I say athletes? We all know that too much regulation kills the fun of anything, and the same thing is applicable in these contact sports. When it becomes too regulated, the fun and excitement that comes with seeing these sports dies down. So far, so good. The regulations that are already in place are good enough to ensure players safety, so for me I feel all regulations that already in place are good as they are they just need to ensure that these athletes follow and adhere to the rules.
Of course I agree with you if more restrictions are put in place for safety and more things are saved then people will stop watching games like this and then they won't enjoy watching it at all.
