Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learner's featured post. All over the world we have different cultures and religions, and people practising these cultures or religions are sometimes expected to eat certain things and not eat certain things as per religion and culture demands, and then sometimes individuals eat certain things by choice and then also by choice decide not to eat certain things. We also have those whose medical conditions have forced them to abandon a food they consider their favourite. In all, I am always left wondering how people cope without eating certain things because religion or culture demands that of them.

Deciding not to eat certain things is quite understandable; it is by choice. A medical condition requiring you to drop or stop eating certain foods is also understandable because you want your health to recover, but not eating certain things you might probably like because of religion or culture is something I wonder how people manage to cope with. I have seen friends who don't eat meat from certain animals because their religion or culture forbids it, but every day they talk about how they wish they could eat it. Staying away from certain foods or meats because religion or culture forbids it can be really difficult because that is completely against your wish, but in order to abide by religion or culture, you are forced to stay away.
One thing I have come to realise is that staying away from things like food because religion or culture forbids it can be really difficult, especially if you have friends around you whose religion or culture does not forbid them from eating those things. I didn't eat pig meat before because I grew up believing it was forbidden, but I had people around me who ate it like it was nothing, and it was only a matter of time before I gave it a try, and that was how I went off track, so staying away from foods and having people around you eat them can make it very hard to stay on track.
So according to the prompt, I will be banned from eating meat but still have people around me eating it; that condition alone makes it very difficult to not break the rule or go against it. Having people around me still eating meat is going to make it a difficult task to stay banned, and the chances of me to keep breaking the rule and having a taste of meat are very high. I am also a lover of meat; chicken, beef, and chevon, once they are fried or well prepared, become irresistible for me. I feel like it calls out to me in those forms, so how on earth can I have people around me devour such a delicious and yummy thing while I sit back and watch? I am sorry, but I am breaking the ban and the rule every single time I see someone devouring any meat I like.

The temptation of having to taste meat when everyone around you is doing the same is something not everyone can resist for long. Especially if you are a lover of meat, it is only a matter of time before you start wanting to have a taste too. That is exactly when you start having cravings that you will want to satisfy, and before you even realise what is going on, you have tasted what you were banned from eating.
I don't think I can resist not eating meat abeg...they better take those culture or religion behind me unless it's a something related to my health, then I can be disciplined enough to do without meat but e still go hard

A meat lover has been spotted 😂, those religions and cultures should stay far away.
the temptation to taste meat comes from the smell of fried meat alone, it will be mission impossible to stay away from eating meat as a huge fan of meat.
Imagine this festive season now with my neighbours frying here and there, and I should not eat 😂😂
Shey you understand!!!!!!! I am banned from eating meat but people beside me are eating aromascious meat... How I wan survive am?

Chief, what does meat mean? Hahahahahah hmmmm it would be a difficult thing for man to resist meat sha but all things are possible depending on individual.
Compliment of the season
The individual must be really determined to be able to achieve things like that.
Thanks for stopping by
I think we have similar way of thinking... I would change totally my way of eating because of health...but because of religion never...but also I am a person that believes quite different about religions in general =P I think we need to practice them to feel good and not to create restrictions in our life!
Exactly the same way I see it, I can do it for my health, but for religion or culture that is going to come with a lot of discomfort.
