URBAN VS RURAL

Rural and urban areas, inarguably, there are huge difference between both areas, with both places being unique and fun in its own way.

I spent most of my childhood in a foreign land that i was not related to in any way. Though developed to a very good extent, we, the children, always come out in the night to play, chase each other, use a stick to ride motocycle tyre, play with sand and even listen to stories from the elderly around. My mom was the story teller. Back then, when it is night time, she will stop all of us from playing, sit us down and start telling us story about different things. Most times, i wonder how she got to know all that which she said.

I will not call this place a village, cause it is developed to a good extent, however, i will also not call it a town. Its just somewhere inbetween.

After living all my life outside of my village, it was a lot difficult to adapt to my village, when i relocated there. The way of life was totally different and the people, they were nice and welcoming, but did not match my vibes, so it was quite difficult to get along. My brothers got along well, and made friends with the people, but up till day, i just have one or two friends from my village, most of which are from my secondary school.

One good thing about the village is that - there is an unending supply of food. No hunger, no wars, no fights, stressors are not much, just live life in peace and harmony. In the village, you pay for almost nothing, well, just electricity bills, but the bill is not up to half of what we pay in the urban areas.

Conversely, in the urban area, where i live currently, i pay for almost everything. The food i eat, fruits are bought, water, electricity and other things required for survival. whats more? , When compared with the rural area, the price tags of these goods and services are on the high side.

I do not actually know which is better because i enjoy every experience that both place has to offer me. I love my village because of the peace and calm it provides, and i also love the city i live in because of many other things it has to offer.

If i am to choose which place i will prefer to live in, i wll say both. I will love to live in a place that is a village, and still a town at the same time.

I dont like living in the city because of too many noise, and i eqaully do not like villages because of the lack of proper, adequate an equiped amenities. Hospitals, most importantly.

For me, a perfect place of residence is one that has trees around, when i look out my window, i see nothing but trees, limited noise,no disturbance from passing vehicles or neighbors, just me and my family, with the nearest city not too far from where we live.

This is my entry for the hive learners prompt.

In rural areas, you can enjoy free food since mostly all of them are into farming, fresh fruits, peace and no noise from anywhere unlike in the urban areas where noises from cars, bikes, factory machines are the order of the day, though there are benefits there too but most of it all, you pay for everything.
