Robot Wars

Mars was colonized and terraformed. Inhabitation is possible but the air is still slightly unbreathable. Measures is being taken to ensure that total dependence on Mars ecosystem is possible both for breathing and cultivating food for it's inhabitants.

Aliens were discovered. Unlike how ugly we thought they would look like, it turns out that some aliens shared the same biological material as we do. Though they are more biologically advanced, sophisticated and ultimately, posses a few little tricks like telekinesis and talking to each other without moving their mouth.

The discovery of alien technology was like the discovery of oil in the olden days. World leaders fight to get their hands on a technology because it not only improved the life of humans in different countries, but it also improves a country's military capacity.

Planets were colonized. Weaker alien population were deceived and taken over by world leaders. Alien planet became a base of operation for many countries as intergalactic wars took place between diverse races. Instead of uniting against aliens, human greed lead them to turn against each other as they fought for who has the right to colonize a weaker alien planet.

As the colonization went further from one planet to the other, the might of the colonizer became more powerful. New resources were found which further increased human greed and led them to fight within each other just to get rights to colonize other alien populations.

Humans themselves were not free from alien invasion but with the strong ties they have with stronger alien population, invading earth was an intergalactic war crime as they constitute the lower tier of strong universal species, thus, making great contributions for the universe.

During inter-country wars to gain rights on who will colonize a given alien species, humans dont directly fight the war. They send robots to fight these wars for them. For example, China will send their set of robots to fight against U.S robots.

Though it seems like this strategy was the best to avoid human casualties, the major downside of this thing that was overlooked is that human casualty was gradually rising as their home were used as battle grounds. Robots kill on site both fellow robots and civilians. They come with one goal - ensure that there is no walking thing in the area of war aside from their comrades.

People lost their loved ones in the cross fire, the lost their homes, their livelihood as the rich watch these battles and enjoy every scene of it. They cared less of the lives of other people. They eat and watch. They called the lost lives collateral damage and they back themselves with a claim that they already gave people a heads up so that they will leave the area that was chosen and an arena for the war.

Even though it will be great to bring human robot to fight our wars, I don't really think it'll reduce the casualties, except the battle ground will not contain any person. Just robots giving each other commands on what to do.

However, this sparks a question in mind - would the war ever end? Countries can just make new powerful and deadly robots after the lost of one robot. Again, it opens opportunity for terrorist attacks as they can hack he robot and terrorise people and countries.

So, I don't think it will be nice to allow robots fight wars. Generally, I don't think it'll be even nice to fight wars.
