addiction is a BITCH.

if you’ve ever tried to quit a bad habit you know how tough it is.

you see… when you have become used to a certain activity, your body becomes used to a certain amount of dopamine being released.

stop that activity … and poof, there goes feeling good.

when our dopamine levels are below baseline we experience CRAVINGS …

AND … it takes about 4 weeks to reset your system.

that means you have to have the DISCIPLINE to say NO, for every moment of every day … for 4 weeks.

one way to make it EASIER is to add FRICTION to the habit.

friction is when we make it MORE CHALLENGING to perform an activity.

Spend too much time on your phone? Put it in another room.

Can’t stop eating snacks? get them out of your house.

Love late night netflix but hate feeling exhausted in the morning? use an app to BLOCK it after a certain hour.

FRICTION takes the decision out of your hands so your not constantly fighting a battle of will power
