The significance of the festive season can never be overemphasized, tracing back to the century when the celebration started and the birth of Christ. To the Christian, it seems benevolent to the whole followers of Christ and believers.
As His followers, I am privileged because Christmas brings a sense of magic, togetherness and reunion of great strategies. Join me as I share with you the customs, delicious feasts, and acts of kindness that define the word Christmas.
Embracing the Spirit of the Season: For me and my family, Christmas is a significant celebration that is attributed to the birth of Christ. Here in my family, the preparation has started since the beginning of December; everyone needs a new cloth, a new shoe, and festive decorations.
The Christmas tree in the house, with the chairs rearranged to soothe visitors. Warm and welcoming, my room's wall decoration has changed already, looking so beautiful and enticing. My siblings and everyone had traveled back home, everybody from various destinations, though I don't like crowds, but of course I can't deny my relatives of the Christmas love entanglement, so I have to make them feel comfortable and at home at all costs. At some point, it's getting more interesting, and being an introvert that I am, I am turning to extroversion gradually.
The joy of giving! I have been receiving gifts and surprises from many relatives and loved ones already, which include cash gifts, jewelry, and other fantastic gifts. Personally, I am not left out packing some of my niece's outfits that may have oversized her through the year for the less privileged and orphans to put a smile on their faces too. Delicious holiday treat: a habit in me that can't be left out is cooking.
I find it so interesting being in the kitchen and spending my time cooking delicious and nice meals, which Christmas always makes a dream come true for me, although during other celebrations I do participate but not as fully as I do on Christmas. I love people applauding me, and with great heart, I feel pompous when anyone does so. I show them a magical cooking hand; every year's charismatic celebration is around the corner.
Reflection and gratitude: I try to settle and mediate any unsettled conflicts that might have arisen since the beginning of the year; of course, it's a season of love, so I feel so obliged to be my brother's keeper regardless of the situation. I find it so easy to make restitution during this time because I'm always happy and filled with joy.This Christmas is going to be a massive one because it's my mum's 65th birthday also, so the celebrations are doubled. Chicken is being fried already for guests.
The fridge is stocked with nice drinks, though liquor isn't allowed in our house. But seriously, I prefer wines to sugary drinks, so I have to enforce or, better still, agitate for it tomorrow.Thank you for reading through again. complement of the season.
