The only way to prove that you’re good on a sport is to lose.
This is a publication based on the suggested topic proposed in the Hive Learners community through their discord, which on this occasion is "Contact Sport".
Contact sports have always been something that catches my attention, especially those related to martial arts and boxing. Particularly, professional wrestling is something that always delights everyone. Who hasn't spent long hours having fun watching those great wrestling matches? When you are young, at first, you believe that the fights are real, those matches with the Undertaker and all the other characters like John Cena, only to later realize as an adult that it is a sport and that it is staged. However, this practice also involves physical contact and carries its level of danger. The people and participants can get injured many times. On more than one occasion, I saw how a professional in this sport came out injured with broken legs, broken noses, and even very severe damage, such as brain trauma with lifelong consequences. So, that's the attractive part of this sport or this practice. If we took away that excitement of the danger of people not getting hurt, or if it were regulated, the sport would actually become less attractive. It would take away the most important part of its essence, and not just in contact sports, but in any type of sport, because these regulations make it less attractive for people to practice or watch. If I were to include any type of regulation, it would be in the educational aspect: teaching and requiring participants or practitioners of this sport to have a certain type of training. For example, in first aid, having some training in knowing which are the sensitive areas of the body to avoid hitting the opponent in those specific areas, to avoid contact in those areas. Perhaps hitting vital parts like the head or certain parts that could cause mortal or severe injuries could be regulated. Maybe it would be prudent to do so, but I repeat, this would take away a lot of flavor and essence from this practice. So far, contact sports like boxing, martial arts, soccer, and American football, which is even rougher, continue to be national entertainment. Even a very important source of income in different countries, and regulating it would greatly harm the source of income and the current business. Let's also remember that the practice of this sport involves television media that broadcast the matches and all the matches of these soccer games and these martial arts or boxing fights. Therefore, these are factors that we must take into account, and I repeat, for me, the most important thing is the education of people in this regard. If there is any regulation, it should be in that sense, in the educational part, to incorporate procedures and create awareness among people about the dangers and advantages of this type of sport. Let's create a safer environment for us, for our loved ones, where sports can continue to be enjoyed without losing their essence and hopefully without so many regulations. I didn't quite understand about not regulating contact sports. For example, would you remove the weight categories?
Best regards @manclar.
Yes, the main regulation that I would put in place is to avoid trees under any circumstances and the "tree weight" category in these types of sports.🙂
Now speaking seriously, the topic refers to regulating the aspect of injuries, I don't know if you understood it, but here they ask the question as the topic of the week to know how we approach it. My position is that no extreme is good, and that as long as there is education, let them break the face of whoever it is, but always ask permission and be elegant... 😂

Tree weight!!! 🤣, it would be necessary to regulate the answers.....
You are a crack 👏 @manclar.

People who go into sports are made to go through the pros and cons of the sports before they venture into it. No athlete will be deficient of the risk involve in the game they want to take part in.
Only that there could be more introduction of new rules to guard against injury or infringement.
I agree with you, more awareness is needed in sports to improve in this aspect, I don't think that as a society we will achieve it, at least not yet, there is still a long way to go in my opinion, but I hope we are on the right track.
Educating people is key. This would help to create balance in the contact sports.
According to you, education is the key to this and many more things!
oh yes
