A high school known as a secondary school in my country is a very delightful place. For me, it is a place where I rarely feel sad, it is a place surrounded by lovely people. One thing I love about secondary school or school, in general, is that you meet people with different personalities and they eventually turn out to be your friends.

In my primary school which is also known as elementary school, I was known to be one of the toppers in the class and school in general.. always taking the first or second position in the class.. This position revolves between me and a girl; Tope. Of course, why won’t I remember her name?.. my beloved rival.

After I went away from the private school, I went to a public school to continue my primary school and in the public school, I was also known as one of the toppers in class.. this easily caught the teacher’s attention because I was a new girl and I was topping the class. The following year I was made the assistant head girl.

During my junior secondary school, I was not really among the toppers in the class or school but I was doing very great and I was known to my class teachers and my immediate teachers. The reason is that in secondary school we are so much because many primary schools joined to make the secondary school and besides public schools are usually filled up.

Although, in the class, I was known to be gentle and responsible among the teachers my classmates would consider me rather talkative. Without a doubt, I was known to be responsible and disciplined even to my classmates.

During my senior secondary school, I was known to be one of the top 20 in science class, they usually train us in some aspects like innovation, technology, and blabla.. but I didn’t put much effort into it. I was known by some teachers to be at least smart. But hehe, I only represented the school once.

So yeah, during my whole school life excluding university. I was known to be a latecomer, you would rarely see me come early. Of course, I usually get punished but I still come late regardless.. partially, it is not my fault, I stay far from school.

Another thing was my neatness and dressings, basically my fashion sense. I have always been conscious about my dressings. Mainly because of two reasons, I guess. One; was because I wanted to look cute and nice, I mean who wouldn’t want that? Two; was because I wanted to prove that public school students are not meant to be belittled.

I hate it, I mean hate it when I see a public school student dress like trash So irresponsible, it hurts me so much and I said to myself since I was going to a public school, I would love to set an example. Although some people dress responsibly.

My sis is a tailor, so she was the one that usually sews my uniform, my uniform is always so fitted and neatly sewed, and I have always been complimented on my school uniform. I usually iron my uniform and my socks are always neat and nice and sandals are not excluded, basically, my dress was always nice. This made teachers and students know me as a neat girl.

I did not hesitate to make friends who dress neatly, and even some of them I admonished to dress nicely. After closing hour, sometimes we stay back and clean our sandals because they would have gotten stained or dusty during school time. We sometimes but rarely change our socks and we walk home looking so clean.

Apart from my dressings, I have a nice shape that even made the cloth fit me more. Apart from compliments in school by teachers or students. I can’t count how many times I have been complimented on my dressings and appearance on my way home or on my way to school.

I could remember vividly when someone on street asked if I was going to a private school, he looked so confused because he knew that the school uniform looked like our grammar school but I was dressed nicely. I told him that it was the same school, I don’t know but I felt that he was satisfied that he started praying for me and wishing me well.

There was also another day, I wanted to get something in a shop for me and my friends to eat and drink while trekking home. So, there was a man there who scolding his child, when he saw me he started using me as an example to his child, saying “Look how neat she is and responsible, a good girl, who will see her and say she is not responsible, Blablabla…” my head was just swelling, swelling and swelling, hehe. he eventually paid for all the goods I bought.

The reason public schools are pictured as low class schools is often because of how the students themselves present themselves. You sure did set a good example.

I would have wanted to be your friend too. I might have even had a crush on you if I had been in your school. I mean, who wouldn't like a responsible and smart lady?

Lol that shows how interest you were in science.Lol. Sometimes we have qualities that make us good in a certain course even if we don't like it. My wife tells me that she used to pass physics exams memorizing without practicing anything, and she didn't put much effort. Probably the teacher used to go with the same examples in class, so she memorized the solution. Interesting text.

Ha ha, why won't your head swell, seriously, I find it very hard to relate a neatly dressed student to a public school, you made a difference then.
