Some times we find ourselves less busy and we tend to ask ourselves … what should I do with this time ? Good news.. there is a lot of things to do at your leisure time or whenever you are bored. These are good habit or activities that has actually helped me to improve myself personally.

I made this first edition specifically for the lazy ones because you basically won’t have to stand up or stress out or even make a sweat.

These are basically the productive things I personally do when I am bored.. They are lot of things one can do when bored. But the question is are they productive?

1 . LISTEN TO PODCASTS OR MUSIC

I know this is very common but it is sure a productive way to kill boredom.. research has shown that listening to music can help the brain, it helps to stimulate your memories, it lightens your mood, manage pains and depression and even get a better sleep.

I started listening to podcasts like a year ago. I realized the beauty of podcast. You can listen to a lot of things, ideas and topics on podcast, at least taking your time to listen to one or two topics that you are interested in.. you will surely gain something important.

2 . ORGANIZE AND CLEAR UNNECESSARY THINGS ON PHONE OR LAPTOP

This is very important and productive but most time we tend not to do them till our phone get all messed up.
This can help clear space on our phone to improve the efficiency of the phone.

  • clearing cache
    • delete app you don’t use anymore or irrelevant app
      • Deleting duplicate pictures and files

Plus, you can clean your phone, depending on your phone you can use damp cloth or isopropyl alcohol wipes. You can clean your phone all round for a better radiation and germs free.

3 . LOOK INTO YOURSELF
Honestly, this is a very helpful. You just want to sit back and reason about your life. Look at what is bothering you, maybe by googling or asking a friend. Look at what you have done so far, plan ahead and look at what you can go into like learning a skill or learning a language or look at ways to improve yourself.

TIPS

  • gratitude
  • resolution
  • learning
  • meditating
  • journaling

4 .TAKE A NAP
Y’all might think this is in no way productive but I’ll tell you it is essential. Resting or taking a nap helps the brain, the body and even the mind.

Taking a nap is quite different from sleeping.. sleeping takes hours. But you set a timer for like 30 minutes or 40 minutes or whichever minutes you can afford or prolly a hour to take a nap.

5 . PLAN YOURSELF OR TOMORROW
You can take a few minutes to plan your tomorrow or the rest of the day. what you want to achieve or what are you plans for tomorrow, where are you heading? Do I have a project of tomorrow?

All this questions go a long way.. helps you remember things you might likely forget. You can prolly put this down in a paper, like a to-do list where you just tick what you have done.

This is all I have for the lazy ones. It doesn’t cost you anything and it is very easy to do. And of course, this is also useful to the hardworking ones, hehe. Don’t get me wrong.

I agree, you can do all these as helps a lot. I'm doing most of those, except taking a nap, but most of the time the day is not enough, so there's no such thing in my life as being bored :)

I understand. I just felt like some people might need this

All very vital tips. The most underrated there being taking a nap. Most people are just caught up in the rat race that they can't even get enough of 24hrs not to talk of getting a nap

Welcome

For me, I rarely get the time to listen to podcasts, I spend most of my free time to think about my life and what I want to change in it, or plan schedules for the next day or coming days.

Also it is never boring taking a nap, I love taking naps...
