So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week which is “NO PHONES ALLOWED”.

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “UNEXPECTED PLACES AND PEOPLE”.

This topic was geared toward each member of the community sharing with us their experience with finding kindness in the most unexpected places. Many times, we find ourselves in situations where we have to rely on help from people we least expect to get them from. We also got to hear stories of how members were poorly treated by people who should have done better.

We got to see the different ways people act and how it affects everyone around them. Many times, help comes from those who are not family nor friends. However, family and friends can end up dissappointing us when we need them the most. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.

This author told us about the time that his elderly neighbour had helped him out. Being someone that was private and kept to herself, he was shocked when she assisted him with some food items. Something that stayed in his mind for a long time afterward.

For this author, he shared the story of how a stranger went out of her way to help him some food when he was extremely hungry. This was an act that touched him deeply and it also became th start of a beautiful relationship that went on to lead to an engagement..

Will this make things easier for the students in the long run? Or will it simply make things worse? What could be the long term effect?”
