So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the first topic for this week which is “YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA LIFE”.

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “SHOULD GAMBLING/BETTING BE ILLEGAL?”.

This topic was geared toward each member of the community sharing with us their opinions on betting and what they thought was the right move for the government to make. Many were of the opinion that betting was bad and as such, it should be banned due to how it had the ability to destroy lives and tear people apart.

However, there were those who felt otherwise. They felt that it wasn’t fair and everyone had a right to spend their money the way they wanted, even if it meant pouring it all into gambling that didn’t pay off. It’s all an issue of discipline, and sadly, not everyone gets that. It was an enlightening topic indeed, and one that will remain a controversial one.

For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w148e3 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author told us that he doesn’t think that gambling should be made illegal. What is actually needed is discipline and control. Greed is one of the major things that brings people to ruin, not knowing when to stop and always trying to go for more. That is what causes people to lose so much money and as such destroy their lives. After all, gambling is a part of life.

For this author, he sees betting as a common vice among youths of the world today. He doesn’t have a stand on whether the act should be made illegal or not. He knows that while many people are addicted to gambling and have destroyed relationships because of it, one clear factor is that none of them were forced to gamble. No one was forced to be. It was all by choice and as such, there would be no legal grounds for banning. Betting should never be seen as a means to get rich. It would only lead such an individual to ruin.

For this author, he’s not against betting and gambling because whether we like it or not, there are people who rely on them for their living. Even though they pose a certain risk, he didn’t feel they were worth banning. It’s up to each individual choosing to gamble to do so with moderation. Because once they let it get out of hand, that’s where the main problem begins.
