So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week which is “IT’S A JUSTIFIABLE CRIME”.

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “SINS OF THE FATHER”.

This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their thoughts on children having to be punished for the wrong choices made by their parents. It could be based on life decisions, or simply having bad habits, these acts affect children in a way that is unfair and it can leave a mark on them that will follow them for a long time.

We got to see just how much some people had suffered in such scenarios and how they had to cope. This is a fact of life that isn’t fair in any way at all, but like every other thing life dishes, it has to be taken with a brave heart. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.

For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w147e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors will be listed below.

Featured Contents

EXPLORING THE COMPLEXITIES OF INHERITED RESPONSIBILITIES by @hopestylist

This author is of the opinion that a child should only be punished for the father’s sin if they knew about it beforehand and agreed to it. However, with no prior knowledge, they shouldn’t be made to go through such a harrowing experience. So all in all, it falls to the shoulders of the parents. It’s their duty to ensure that they don’t do things that will come back to haunt their children.

CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE NOT HEIRS OF GUILT by @xlety

For this author, she let us know that punishing a child for the sins of their parents is downright cruel and heartless. It deprives them of their right and it’s definitely not the way to go about in the pursuit of justice. Children have no say in where they’re born into, however, society can create an enabling environment to help them bloom and soar.

WHEN FAMILY FACES CHANLLENGES @aiuna

For this author, she shared with us that each individual case is different from the other. Some children might choose to suffer for their parents, seeing it as a responsibility or duty. However, not everyone would have this mindset. Some would most likely not want to go through hard times because of their parents. In the end, she prefers not to judge because she doesn’t know what prompted each situation.

All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (@melinda010100) ] and 1 $PANDAMINER each as a reward next Monday. These posts were selected because of their special attention to detail and how they followed the topic. There were a lot of good ones out there, but we just could not pick them all.

But then, we have some honorable mentions which are listed below:

Honorable Mention

Week 147 - Edition 03 Topic

IT’S A JUSTIFIABLE CRIME

*“Is there a crime people can commit and you'd agree with their motives even though the act is against the law? What is that one crime you can choose to be partial to? Do you think the law is too harsh on those who actually commit them?”
