The only country I know of that regulates the number of kids per a family is China ,it is quite understandable because of their population size. But aside that it goes a long way to affect the country in a positive way . Whereas in my own country Ghana it is the opposite. There’s is nothing like that
Actually I see nothing wrong with a system where there number of kids per family isn’t regulated . A system or country where you can have as many kids you want . Unless maybe the population density is over . The only problem or setback is producing more than you can provide for. And this is very common in our part of the world .
In the old times having many children was considered as a blessing, and lot more . People produce so they can get enough working force on their farms and for other known reasons such as to signify power or wealth. Well times have changed and we are in a modern era .
I don’t see the need of the Ghanaian government to regulate the number of kids per family. The number of kids per family should depend on the ability of he parents to cater for them and this kind of family is the one I consider an ideal family size .I think the Ghanaian government should rather invest more in educating the people especially illiterates on family planing and family size, but some people are ignorant and wont heed to this education.Even in the old times our ancestors had their own family planning methods. Besides Ghana is a developing country and we need more quality human resource plus we are not densely populated.
It’s so sad to see young people out there on the street either homeless, struggling to make ends meet , involved in social vices and many more . And when you follow the matter they usually come from large families sizes or homes with much more kids they can afford to take care of. Obviously they had a bad start in life. Here is the case unemployment rates in the country is not good , educated people don’t have jobs not to talk about kids who cannot get an education because their parents can’t afford. It is most common in the local and indigenous communities, on few occasions I’ve met kids who are not in school neither learning a trade or handwork . What can of future awaits such innocent child?
I remember my lecturer once said in class that only an unwise person will give birth to a child they can’t look after and his was right.
No doubt ,Producing many kids will contribute greatly to the human resource of the country in the future but what good is it if there’s no quality
