RE: Is gambling a good or bad thing for our society? [EN/PT]

Gambling is such a dopamine trap... it pulls you in with the thrill of something new, and before you know it, you’re stuck chasing that same high. Games of chance have been around forever (like, literally ancient times)... but some are designed to mess with your brain. Slot machines, for example, aren’t just games... they’re systems built to keep you in the cycle, feeding off that rush.

I’ve always found gambling fascinating, though... mostly because of the way it’s designed. It’s all about gamification, and I get the appeal... the adrenaline, the excitement. But it’s just way too risky once it gets a hold of your mind. I'd play it at times when I want to test my luck, but after losing the limit I set before play I usually just get bored with the losing streaks that I have no problem stopping in a heartbeat.
