Most of us wish to live in a beautiful world with happiness, but situations or our greed cause chaos, which makes it difficult. We need a systematic approach to ensure it, and it's a necessity to have some rules and regulations that we know as laws. The law can be different depending on countries, but the focus of the law is to ensure security and restrict people from committing crimes.

So laws are made to ensure justice, and justice has nothing to do with the social status and the power of people. It's unfortunate that in my country I can't keep faith in our judicial system fully. Maybe it's because of the past history of the system. I have seen many criminals living a free and carefree life after doing many crimes, and again I have seen some innocents were punished for conspiracy of others. Sometimes I feel justice is only for rich and powerful people. So sometimes people need to take the law into their own hands for justice, and I think it's the failure of the judicial system of a country. It can be a crime from the perspective of law, but it's justice, and it's good work in my eyes.
One story of a few years ago came to my mind while thinking about justice. In my country, there was/are a serial killer, and the killer introduced his name as Hercules (he gave the name himself). Hercules used to kill the rapist cruelly (by torturing) who escaped from the law without being punished. It was the time when most rapists escaped from the law without getting punished because of their political status, and nobody could do anything against them. The victim's family didn't receive justice and Hercules took the responsibility on his own. He continued this kind of activity for one year, and his identity is still a mystery. The name Hercules created fear in the minds of the rapists, and they needed to think before they could take such an action even if they had a powerful political position. The cases of rape decreased with time. Although there were many other factors, Hercules was one of the most important factors of it. In the eye of the law, Hercules is a criminal, but in my eyes, he is the hero, even if he was a serial killer. I believe that even if one commits crimes for the betterment of the country without hurting the innocent, it should be appreciated. So I think Hercules doesn't deserve punishment.
Hercules took such a bold step only against the rapist, but I think it would be better if it were not limited to rapists only. There are many criminals in our society. They forcefully took the assets of many people, did many illegal activities, and to erase the proof they had committed many murders of those who witnessed their crimes. They were innocent but lost their lives for no reason or for seeking justice. The one criminal may take 10 innocent lives and create chaos in society, but simply killing the criminal in a cruel way is good in my eyes. Firstly, it may save the innocent's life, and for the cruel dead, the other criminals will fear to do crime again. You may say it's unfair to the family of the criminal, and in one perspective I think it's also right but if we don't kill the criminal, there will be injustice with the 10 families. So why shouldn't the family of the criminal suffer for it? I think for such a kind of act we should not be punished.

Haha not most of us but all of us want to live a happy life.
I also heard the story of Hercules and it's name remind me about that story. Your opinion is similar to mine here that killing a terrorist ain't consider as a crime
