Education system need a massive change

The education system plays a significant role in the development of a country, and because of it, there is no way to take the education system lightly. The education system must be well enough to give proper knowledge to the students, as those students will take the lead in the future. So it's necessary to give the best support to make students better to the best.

The education system can be different based on countries, and that's quite natural. I am going to discuss it considering my country's situation. I am from Bangladesh, and it's a developing country. When it comes to the education system, I don't think my country's education system is the most satisfying one because it mostly prioritizes the memorizing power, and I don't think it's an ideal one to judge a student based on their memorizing power. Someone's memorizing is good does not mean that he is a very good student and he is the most skilled one. Moreover, theoretical knowledge given through text books is not useful in real life in most of the cases. Reading textbooks is boring, and students need to read it forcefully just for passing the exam.

In academic institutions, there are a little facilities for practical lessons. Only a few schools try to give practical lessons to students, but it's nearly nothing. Practical lessons are interesting, but teachers also don't think when it's in school. Only university students do practicals and take it seriously.

For a better future of a country, we need to create a better education system, and to make them better, we need to update our education system. That memorizing power is important, but it should not be the only criteria for judging students. Students should be judged based on their talents, skills, and efforts they make to be better. In the case of the textbook, I think it needs a change. Most of the boring contents from textbooks should be removed, and those contents should be replaced by interesting contents that can easily attract students and inspire students to read more. When content is related to real-life incidents, students will naturally be interested in it, and they will be able to relate easily.

Practical classes are the most interesting because everyone has the curiosity to learn something new rather than memorizing many topics. Besides, practical knowledge is easy to remember. I believe that practical classes must be compulsory, and from an early age, students should gain some knowledge related to practicals. When they will reach the university level, their knowledge will help them to do it in much better ways.

It's the digital world, and in this digital world, we need to adapt with it. Programming, web designing, and so many other things related to the IT sector must be compulsory for students, and it can also create many job opportunities for them in the future. In some specific exams, I think students should be allowed to use technological devices, but then you should do something creative using those facilities. In my final year exam, I can remember that one of our professors gave us full access to technological devices with the Internet, and he wanted some good and innovative projects for the fisheries sector. In the exam, all of us tried our best, and it was the most interesting exam in my life. Such a method can be used from the school level, and that can help students to be creative.

Finally, and most importantly, I think we need to update the teachers. Teachers are the ones who take responsibility for teaching students, but do you know that most of the teachers in my country come to the teaching profession when they get rejected from any other job sector? So most of the losers come to the teaching profession in my country, and it's the worst thing for my country. I think only a single step can change the table. The salary of teachers should be high. If salary increases, then all the good and qualified ones will try their best to come in the teaching profession, and the best teacher can provide the best guidance to students, and at least it will be better than the guidance of those teachers who are losers. I believe that it's the most concerning thing and that change can bring revolutionary change for a country.
