Going to the topic, what does volunteering really entails:
A volunteer is a person who offers service at freewill, without expecting any pay or returns.
You can volunteer in two ways
- SERVICE
- DONATION
SERVICE
I use the word "service" specifically in the sense that as a person willing to volunteer to a particular body of organization (charity), you can put yourself as a service for it, like working for them without expecting any reward or pay.
DONATION
In place of your service, either you are busy or might not be able to show up for service (that is, in person), you can donate a certain material or money to help sustain the charity.
WHAT DO I WISH TO VOLUNTEER FOR?
In respect of my little experience,I have seen alot and heard of many situations of the charity,be it health, orphan, homeless,widow, refugees, the special children and the likes because my aunt which was a nurse happened to be a volunteer for the health charity.
she did it in form of service where she goes there whenever she has off days.
She told me many things concerning charity and I often follow her on many occasions.
I would prefer to volunteer for the orphans charity, children with no parents to care of them,no guidance, nothing.
As said earlier,I had really witnessed Many cases of charities while growing up,and I really feel really bad and sad when we visit the orphanage.
Where you see little children with no parents to cater for them, truth to be told the care givers are really trying but it's may not be enough.
I really feel sorry for them wishing I could take
You may not have gold or silver but every little act of kindness counts.
