Right from our tender learning, we've all gotten the scope of things becoming easy with the help of science
Do we talk about the improvement we get with light through electricity, I can remember vividly how my teacher would always tell us about Thomas Edison then who tried so many times just to get us there, Do we talk about the aspect of transportation, having a fast and easy way of movement or we just address the health sector of how science has helped with so many solutions
It's a beautiful thing to have science and likewise a beautiful thing to have innovations, but as beautiful as these innovations come through science so do we have a price to pay for some of the innovations science comes with
Not all of these innovations are ethical
Makes me remember how a friend got diseases all from these so-called innovations of science.
It was a teeth-whitening thing, she had her teeth whitened in an artificial way which involved her being exposed to a very high level of light.
The surgery was a success back then, her teeth got whitened and it was lovely but with time the exposure to high levels of light made the growth of a lump in her eyes, it was a very serious issue that she starts to itch her eyes and each time it's always watery
Before science, there was nothing like teeth whitening neither was there for such surgery but science came and with innovation, a teeth whitening became a thing that could cause an eye defect
So many things were done to the eyes not until she went for surgery to fix the eyes
Yeah I know some scaled through the effect of the teeth whitening but for her, she got hanged during the process and was caught up with the effects
If there was no science she could have never had a reason to go for surgery that was needed to cure her eyes
These innovations come with a Price, one more innovation that destroys us gradually is the use of fossil fuels in our everyday life, the issues of global warming leading to so many everyday effects like pollution and also destruction, a shift in weather
But do we stop? no, but rather come up with more innovations with the use of fossil fuels
Channeling our energy to renewable resources would do us more good than the innovation of science here
Science is a blessing but at the same time it kills us to some extent with its repercussions
We can always have the good side of science but there's nothing of advantage without disadvantages, it's just a matter of time
