A DAY IN MY LIFE

Have been trying to write about this day since Sunday but work choke and I really want to share with you all how that day was for me. By the way this my first post in this community and am glad to be here.

Sunday, November 17, was a day to remember—a mix of excitement, activity, and a touch of stress. It started bright and early at 6:00 AM when my mom’s voice pulled me out of sleep. After a brief meditation to center myself, I dived straight into my morning routine, which I had to speed up since a special event awaited.

The day held something unique: the anniversary celebration of my dad’s church in Ogun State. This meant an early start, helping my mom with cleaning and other chores, and getting ready for the big event. Normally, I attend church in Lagos State, where I live, but my siblings and I couldn’t miss this important occasion.

By 8:00 AM, I was dressed and ready to go. The journey to Iyesi Otta in Ogun State was surprisingly smooth, with hardly any traffic, and we arrived at 10:00 AM. There was just enough time for a quick meal before the anniversary service kicked off at 11:00 AM.

The service was nothing short of glorious. Reuniting with family and friends I hadn’t seen in ages added a special warmth to the day. The celebration was filled with vibrant singing, joyous dancing, and heartfelt gratitude for the church's milestones. It finally wrapped up at 4:30 PM, transitioning into a time of fellowship and dining with loved ones. The energy, laughter, and shared stories made it all the more memorable.

As the day began to wind down, fatigue started setting in. By 7:00 PM, it was time to head back home. Boarding public transportation, we were met with an unexpected challenge—a breakdown! For a moment, anxiety hung in the air, but thankfully, the issue was quickly resolved. The journey resumed, and I arrived home safely by 9:00 PM.

Looking back, the day was a blend of effort and enjoyment. The early wake-up, the tasks, the travel, and the little hiccup on the way back all felt worth it. Celebrating the anniversary, reconnecting with loved ones, and basking in the spirit of togetherness made it a truly unforgettable experience. Despite the exhaustion, I’m incredibly grateful for the memories of that special Sunday.
