Going into the topic for this last edition, we are talking about the biggest risk for the year that just ended. Life is full of risk so we venture into it on a daily basis. Infact, not doing anything because the last one you did failed in itself is a risk too. As a parent I take risk everyday and it won't just stop because I have my own home and kids too. Some decisions one resolved to stand on will be rated as a big risk by people just because you refused to follow their own way of doing things.

I took many risk last year ranging from the decision to drop my kids in school on a daily basis. Many people stood against that with the excuse that it is more expensive and it is highly inconviencing, we never looked at the inconvenience or the money involved but the comfort of our kids because using school bus was not better either.

Going from there one major risk I took last year was the place of travelling with my two months baby to Abuja to bid my elder brother goodbye when he was traveling out and of the country. My family doctor even told us not to try it because first he was still tender, secondly the weather was not so favourable at that time as it was the peak of raining season.

Sincerely, I didn't hide to that at all. A time came that my husband was not flowing, but I had to convince him. First, my position in the family will not allow me do otherwise and secondly I was the only one close by who can help him put his things in place as he was going to a foreign land and had to take some things along side. Another part of it was that, his house equipments have to be relocated, so who was in the best position to do all that if not me.

I traveled with my baby and did all I could to keep him warm. One thing that happened was that when we got there my baby changed someone who finds it difficult to sleep well here began sleeping and was so relaxed. I was so surprised the way he changed and thanked God that I didn't stay back. One other thing happened, when we returned home my son became so sick, I felt so bad and didn't know how to go back to the doctor to tell him what I was facing. Note before then my baby had serious cough even through the time we took him to church for Thanksgiving, it was so disturbing and now. What I did was to look out for other means to care for him which I did. I asked around for some medical advice from some medical friends which I got and was happy I did.

Today my brother is there and my baby is doing so well, the only thing is that he refuses to eat solid food only breast milk, water and Pap goes well with him.

Life itself is full of risk and not taking risk is of more risk than taking risk. Thank you for reading through my blog and I wish you the best of the year. God bless your efforts. My entry to the last edition of this week's prompt

Human that's indeed a risky risk because the doctor warn you not to travel with him due to his tender age, but on the other hand you want to be their for your family who's travelling out.
Glad everything work out well.
