Personally I see songs as a way to communicate ones deepest taughts just the way writing does. I grew up to find myself in a music home, my father was a song lover so he played the organ in my Church and because of his passion he was able to raise many in this line line before his demise. Till date those that he taught in this line are doing so well. Fast forward to his children, my our eldest son is the music pastor in his church so he is a song leader, writer and a Coach. Sure, he does it even more than his father because of the level of technology we have at our disposal are more improved than those in my father's days. On my own part, I just love songs because it have this way of bringing me out of my low state. I didn't stay to learn all the rudiments of music but I can well tell when someone in on key because my music ear is so sharp. Over time I have also seen myself writing song, though this does not come frequently but it does come when the need arises or when my heart gets settled.
Music is good and that cannot be over emphasised. As an adult that have spent over three decades and counting I can vividly say that there has been a transcend from the way of music in the past centuries and now. Back in the days, songs writers communicate with songs words that helps to build the spirit and direct people in the right way to go but in this days many circular songs just suggest immorality which is not healthy for a nation.
Imagine that in the process of singing and performing on stage people get naked just to show their love for the song or even the singer. I remember listening to songs that even their singers got arrested because of the deep meaning in the song that suggests that the government should do things correctly and because they don't want to hear the truth they get the singers arrested.
Now, talking about putting things in the correct perspective. I feel there should be a reorientation going on in the media to make people understand that they are ambassadors. Songs travels far even beyond ones imagination. So the kind of song one sings goes a long way in telling the kind of person or spirit he carries and the kind of country he or she is coming from. In this to represent ourselves and our country well, we should learn to onboard lyrics that will promote national values. Even if we feel the system has gone so bad, we can project the kind of country we wish to see. When this happens constantly, with time we will get to see the nation of our dreams.
As a way of summary, on my part I don't patronize songs that is not appealing to my spirit and you won't even see it on my phone because there is no need for that. Songs suggest things to us even without our knowledge so it is best to go for songs which are edifying than songs which will make you feel worst and more.

Songs of nowadays are lyrically off. The few that age relevantly wordy are centered on curses on the government, others are based on love and ladies 😂
Lol, you nailed it....I just hope things gets better
Perfect. Music goes beyond rhythm, and many people are unaware that it spiritually influences our lives, so it’s good to be selective about what we listen to.
Being selective of the songs we listen to will save us lots of stress that may come afterwards. Thanks for adding your voice
Songs varies time to time as civilization goes on and the change of taste in the public is also a factor. But currently, the industry needs to do business and make a short-term profit that makes the industry different from many of us who love music in different ways. Thanks for your excellent writing.
Seasons change account and most are carried away by business but those that still stick to meaning though they don't grow fast but end up doing well. Thank You for adding your voice
My pleasure!
