Mandala Art | Creative Sunday

It's one of my bad habits that whenever I learn a new skill, I stop practicing the old skills I know. This is what happened to me when I learned the art of clay.

In my journey to master clay art, I stopped practicing mandala art. But last night when I came across a beautiful mandala art in my YouTube feed, I rekindled my interest in mandala art and thought of giving it another try.

Here's the inspiration for making this mandala art Link. I have changed the design inside the circles and also added a buterfly in one side.

Procedure

---

I have started making mandala art by first making the mandala grid with the help of compass

After that i have used black marker to make the grid permanent. Again i have inserted marker to compass and traced the lines i have made with pencil.

Next i have drawn the leaves with the help of pencil.

After that i have again used marker to trace the leaves i have made with pencil and erased the lines i have made with pencil.

Then i have started from yellow and orange color and filled two inner circles with floral patterns.

After that i have used red and purple color to fill next two circles. Again i have made different patterns to fill the design.

In last two circles i have used pink and light blue colors and made the floral patterns again.

After filling the grid i have started filling colors in the leaves, i have used very dark colors for making the leaves.

Then i have again used a pencil to draw butterfly on one side of the paper.

Then i have used a marker for tracing the outlining of the butterfly.

Then i have filled one side of buterfly with normal colors that a buterfly holds.

And for the other side i have used the mandala art in wings. I have used different colors to make it more unique.
