New Year, New Circles, Same Values

As it remains just a few hours to cross over into the new year here in my country, it always feels like a breath of fresh air. From what I have seen so far, everyone always love to cross over into the new year with a lot of prayers, new year resolution and renewed hope. And as for me, one of the ultimate decisions every year is that I am always being mindful of the people I move with, not because I hate them, but because I love to love with people in my space, on the same agenda and goal.

And recently, I have only gotten to know that I will meet some people, but not everyone I meet is meant to journey with me because a lot of individuals will not add value to me, but rather, they will drain the little that I have. Some will talk down on my little wins like they were nothing, and some will only remember that I exist when they need my help and it is best for me if I keep my distance from these sets of people though it might hurt but it will hurt more when they keep draining me.

One of the best things I did for myself this year is that I prioritized my peace. I decided not to give negative energy attention, moved away from overexplaining myself and things that will not benefit me. It does not mean that I neglected everything or was engaging words with them. I just kept my cool and set some boundaries.

Even at that, when there is room to accommodate more people, I do, and will always do it because some people are always filled with purpose, and they will always find a way of moving me forward for my betterment. I will always want people who are genuinely truthful, those who are not envious or filled with jealousy because at times, the kind of circle that someone is in will either shape the mindset negatively or in a good way.

And even in the book of Proverbs 13v20, the bible also confirms that if we walk in the midst of those who are wise, we become wise ourselves. And I am a testimony to this because since I got that verse, my confidence level has improved.

There is always room for changes and changing people and that does not mean changing who I am, it just means that I have decided to grow and level up for the betterment of myself and it is okay if some people do not understand that.

However, we always have a choice and permission to always do what is best for us and this is why this coming year that is few hours close, I am deciding to enter it with a light mind, love, focus and lessons learned, because life is very short to always stay around bad energy instead of things that will align with my dreams.

Like I always say, new year, new people that will always direct you to the right path. And the courage to always walk away from things that God does not have in plans for me.
