The digital age has brought forth a great change of possibilities and challenges, especially when it comes to integrating technology into educational settings. The question of “Should phones be allowed in school, especially during class or tests?” knowing the capabilities of the world we live in, where artificial intelligence can solve questions in a blink of an eye, is a two-way answer, more like a double-edged sword.

Sometimes I wish there was technology like artificial intelligence during my years of study because it would have made a lot of things so easy for me. Imagine studying at night with my laptop, making research on google just so I can to understand a simple topic the text book sold to use couldn’t not explain. I would spend time downloading pdf files, reading through different website and watching video.
If there was artificial intelligence back then, it would have made studying more interesting and easy for me. This is the advantage the current modern world has.
The AI capabilities of smartphones can facilitate personalized learning, instant feedback, and interactive learning experiences that cater to individual needs and learning styles. Knowledge gaining has been made so easy at the tip of our finger.
However, on the other hand, whatever has an advantage will definitely have it’s disadvantages. The temptation of distraction, social media usage, gaming, and communication during classes or tests can detract from students' focus, concentration, and academic performance. Many of us are guilty of pressing our phone during class especially when the lecturer is a lenient one.
If Phone is allowed in school, many student will cheat during test and most time, they won’t even read their book to pass an exam or test because they believe in the power of artificial intelligence to help them pass the test.
This is where the disadvantage of allowing students use phone that has the capacity of artificial intelligence during class and during test. Although it’s better the students use their phone for research, assignments, or studying because it would help them understand what they are learning, but allowing them use their phone during test is proportional to leading them to malpractice.
I believe I have been able to pass my message. There is both blessing when AI is used properly and it can become curse when it is used in the wrong way. It can make students lazy, lack the zeal to read and study hard to pass their test.

In fact, technology helps a lot to study and understand different subjects, but within a classroom, I am against it, as the possibility of distraction is much greater than actually paying attention to the knowledge that is being passed on.
