The festive season is a time of the year which is so anticipated with so much joy and excitement. One of the most anticipated festives in a year is the Christmas maybe because of the unique way it is heralded and some percularities that comes with it. Personally, i always look forward to the festives because it gives me joy to celebrate it with family, friends and loved ones. In addition, the festives comes with holidays which makes room for people to travel far and near and to enjoy themselves because relaxation is also a vital part of life same as work.
In preparation for the festive period, i have scheduled my annual leave (which is a month based on the nature of my job) to be in this last month of the year and hence, my enjoyment of the festives had begun earlier🙈😂. Another preparation which i believe is important for a smooth celebration is the stocking of the house i.e. buying of foodstuffs, drinks and other necessary things because "wining and dining" is key to an enjoyable celebration though i counsel moderacy aswell. These "wining and dining" may not be necessarily for one's household alone, others too can benefit from it.
While very young some years ago, we do tag something as "Christmas cloth" or generally as "festive cloth" which are clothes bought for us by our parent or guardian back then and which we really cherish, but now as a grown up, it really wasn't as a priority as it was then though i still believe in wearing something good and beautiful for the day but not as a pressing demand as it was back then. It is good to appreciate the reason for the season which is the celebration of the birth of Christ with lessons of joy, peace, love and goodwill learnt which i believe we should extend it to others most especially in this season.
Personally, the most important way to celebrate this season is to reach out to others such as parents, friends, loved ones, neighbors, mentors etc through our givings, extending our love to them which is the main reason for the season. Therefore, it is with delight to have done so even as i believed this communicates love, honour and strengths family ties or bonds especially when we reach out to our parents or guardians and by so doing receive their blessings. Christmas season is a season of love and one major characteristics of love is selflessness, therefore, we should factor others in and reach out to them even with our tokens of love.
In all, i believe that the festives will come and go, however, the moderacy and what we achieved with it is the most important thing. So let eachone do things within the available limits and most important, enjoy this season of love, joy, peace and rest. For me, i will be spending this season with my family and i believe it is going to be a great one. Thank you for reading even as comments/contributions are welcomed.
