Traveling around the world has been one of my father's bucket lists, he always mentioned a particular country that he wanted to visit, and my mother would always support and tell him to go after his dream, my father is someone who always loves to put other people's first without minding the consequences maybe good or bad.
There was a time when he had already planned his vacation and everyone was happy that he would at least fulfill his dream and be happy, not too long a call came in from his sister and he decided to divert all his savings to rescue his sister, though it was a good thing to do but he abandoned his life and safe others, he neglected his vacation and spent the holiday with us at home because there was no money for him to travel to his dream country again.
After a year he fell sick and died, he couldn't fulfill his wish and this really got to me when I read his diary, I was in pain and tears because he prioritized other people's happiness over his own, he wrote in his diary where he wishes to visit and what he planned to do during his vacation to that particular country, I was reading and crying not because of his demise but for the fact that he was unable to fulfill his wishes and how he would have enjoyed the vacation even if that would be his last day on earth.
After the demise of my father, we later realized that his sister lied to him and extorted money from him, he relocated out of the country with her family and started her life then leaving my father's dream shattered and not bothered if the brother was okay or not.
I learned a lot from his story and always want to make my happiness come first in anything I am doing, I wish everyone could have a taste of one thing that is on their bucket list, as for me traveling to Paris has been on my mind for years, I wish to travel for vacation and enjoy the serenity of other country, I wish to relate with other people who are not from my country, I wish I could go for vacation alone and enjoy the beauty of life without distraction.
If there is any place you which to visit you can add Mauritius to it, it is one of the African countries I have been dreaming of, this country has one of the best beaches in the world, it is a place where you can visit for vacation and enjoy your stay, I have been doing my research about this country and how to spend some days in this country, this is one of my bucket list which I want to fulfill, this country is good for vacation for family and friends, it will create a long-lasting memory, I do not know about their economic status but one thing I wish to do in this country is to explore and have fun not to relocate there.
Always do what makes you happy and travel if you have the chance, try to explore different places even within your country, and do not neglect your happiness over other things, find peace within yourself because you only live once (YOLO) this life has no part 2.

Hmm, I feel so bad reading about your dad. Some people are cheated for their kind hearts. Well, the sister thought she scammed him but she did it to herself, there is a reward for everything we do.
You are right, we should always put our happiness first before any other thing. I see you have a lot of places to visit. I would love to visit Paris someday too.
Our happiness should always come first in life, she cheated him and went away with it, I only feel for him because he was unable to achieve his dream and I learned a lesson through his story.
Try and make yourself happy and fulfill your wishes.
