It's finally here! Christmas is in the air and I'm feeling the love! This festive season is a time for sharing, showing love to one another, and making memories that will last a lifetime. Christmas is one of the festive periods I love so much, this is when we show love to one another and share gifts, this is a season when people from abroad come home to celebrate, and this is the season when we gather as one big family and celebrate together.
This is when we always exchange food with neighbors and eat together in a big bowl, I always love to celebrate every Christmas with my family, I love the way my mother would cook and share it with people in the street, people who couldn't afford to celebrate, I love to see how she put smiles on people's faces and this has been her tradition since I was born.
I will be celebrating this Christmas with my sister and her family, I traveled to her side last week and I wrote about our outing in one of my posts, the preparation is ongoing and everyone is around including her in-laws, this year's celebration is in another dimension, she is celebrating this year Christmas with her house warming, they had just moved to their new house so everyone is around to celebrate with them being the first Christmas in their own house.
We are having a full house for this Christmas and some people will be coming to join us tomorrow which is the Christmas Eve, the fun will know no bounds because there are so many activities that we have scheduled for that day, there will be games, lots of food and outing, her husband had already prepared some activities like question and answers, where the first position of each game section will be rewarded with gifts and the like.
We have been making provisions for everyone who is coming for Christmas, we made chin-chin today and tomorrow is another day will we be making Chapman and cake for this Christmas, we have already gotten our ingredients for coleslaw and fried rice, as jollof rice is among them, and we have plans for this Christmas and one of our plans is to give back to the society by helping the needy, we will be going out tomorrow to put a smile on people's faces by sharing foodstuffs.
Christmas is a season to be merry, what is Christmas without food like jollof rice and fried rice, we already make plans for it, also going to church to celebrate this season is part of our tradition, we always go to church in the morning and worship then after the service we begin our party.
I wish I could travel to spend the Christmas with my mother but no chance, coupled with the expenses, I had to stay in my city and celebrate with my sister, we live in the same city but different location, I'm glad someone is here with me and it always feels as if I'm home anytime I'm with her.
I was at the market yesterday and saw thousands of people buying things for Christmas despite the complaints about the economic crisis, Christmas lights are everywhere and it is as if we have in Christmas already since last week, salons are full, designers are extremely busy now all for Christmas.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance. This is my response to today's episode of hivelearners community prompt of #hl-w145e1 which the topic is tagged

It's sweet to have a full house. Fun, love and above all, plenty food.
