Jos, the City That Stole My Heart

One of the finest cities I visited in my country is Jos, Jos is located in the Northern part of Nigeria, Jos is the capital of plateau, this city is one of the best cities in Nigeria and I wish to visit the City one more time.

I traveled to this city for my friend's wedding, she is someone I adore so much and the distance from my city to Jos is just 5 hours so the distance isn't too much, things are very affordable in this part of the country, for example, vegetables like carrot, green pea, green peppers, potatoes, and the likes are very cheap.

People from my city prefer to order veggies from Jos because of how cheap it is, they produce the best when it comes to vegetables, also transportation in Jos is affordable compared to my city.

Let's talk about the settings of the city, Jos has the best weather in the country, the weather in Jos is always cold and always makes you feel as if you are in another part of the world, as for me I love the weather but if you know you are not used to the cold environment then it is not for you because the weather is extremely cold compared to other part of the country.

Another thing I love about this city is that the people are so accommodating, love is their watchword, I felt a taste of love when I traveled to the city, the people are so welcoming and they can go to any length just to make you happy and satisfy you, I spent a week in Jos but it was as if I have been in the city for more than a year, the love was so massive from the people I stayed with despite we are not of the same tribe, my friend is a Hausa lady and I am a Yoruba, these people doesn't discriminate at all.

I made a tour of their market to see if the people were generally nice to strangers or if I was only welcome in my friend's house because I was a guest at a wedding but I was wrong, the people I met in the market were so wonderful, even if you are not ready to buy anything from them but the way they will make you feel amazing will push you to patronize them, unlike the people in my city.

I had a wonderful experience in Jos, they welcomed me with open arms and never let me regret coming there, I was talking to a friend and she said she had traveled to Jos as well, she shared her wonderful experience and I knew the city is amazing generally, not only from my side.

Language is never a barrier in Jos, I met people who communicate in my language and other languages as well, unlike when I traveled to another part of the country (Kano), the language is purely Hausa, you must learn how to speak the language if you are planning of staying in their city.

I wish to travel back to the city of Jos if I have the opportunity, just to enjoy the serenity and take a tour of the city the way I want, I spent only a week and I am not satisfied with that week, I wish to go on a vacation and enjoy every part of the city and try some of their meals.

If you are in Nigeria and never visited Jos, you are missing something, it is a place to visit and enjoy another world in our country, Jos is a very beautiful city to visit with your family, it is one of the peaceful city in the Northern part of Nigeria.

Jos is a lovely place to stole my heart too, mostly because of the weather and how cheap things are.
