Well, this has been the situation in Nigeria for a very long time, though the recent rise in the cost of things is so alarming, I still can't believe that I witnessed a generation that bought fuel at the rate of ₦95 per litre which seems like mission impossible these days.
The most tragic aspect is the way the price of fuel affects every commodity in the market, a bag of sachet water just became ₦300 at my resident.
These is more than just inflation, it seems like a regular tactics used by the manipulative elite to control the behaviour of the people, which involves "keep them broke and they will crave for our support".
I really hope this phase we are experiencing in the country pass by as soon as possible because I don't know how long this can be tolerated before riot breaks out.
If you eventually find a way out, pls let me know, a friend in need is a friend indeed😅😅.
Imagine. Bag of water that used to be sold for 100 is now #300. The increment is just massive. Making it very very difficult to live in this country.
Right now, any opportunity to JAPA would not be wasted.
