According Fredrick Taylor scientific management theory, inability to manage time effectively will result to waste of opportunity and resources as a result of natural and systematic soldering, it is believed and proven that humans are pleased to be engaged in act of pleasure than work.

Brian Stacy stated in his book (No excuse) he said the greatest form of obstacle most human face is lack of self discipline which influences humans inability to manage their time properly.

This can only be achieved when time is properly managed, I believe this common among successful people in our society.

Another factor is environment.

According to Douglas McGregor theory Y, it states that humans have inner drive for pleasure at the same time also have inner drive for work in order for Humans to achieve self actualization ( which is the last step stated in Abraham Maslow hierarchy of needs).

McGregor stated that, if humans are provided with a conducive environment, it will serve as intrinsic motivation for them to earnest their potentials and skill set.

Sometimes regardless of the numbers of opportunities, skill set, effort, without a safe and comfortable environment your mind will feel reluctant to acknowledge some certain opportunities around you because the only thing u will be thinking about is how to survive. Survival and success are synonymous but the fact that you are surviving does not make you successful.
