Loosing an opportunity like that really hurts but you had no option, your health is far better than any job. I know it hurts but as far as you are alive and in good health better opportunities would still come your way.

Though your new job might not pay as big as the other one but come to think of expenses, transportation, accommodation and the rest. I am sure if you had gotten the first job , you would have been spending so much on those things.

I agree with you that starting small Is the best way to start. The most Important thing is we don't give up. Even if it's little let's begin with it while we wait for a better one, opportunities can never be exhausted, one day a better one will still come around
