The human brain has become more advanced, allowing us to push higher and further with our inventions. Without a doubt, humans are among the smartest of all animals, but we can also acknowledge that other living things have evolved as well.

Animals, fungi, bacteria, viruses, and virtually every form of life are continuously evolving alongside us.

I am currently treating malaria and typhoid, and I am still on medication. It all started last week when I started running a temperature, it goes on and off, and I need no soothsayer to tell me I am getting sick...

Here in my country, the most common illness is malaria and typhoid, mostly malaria because of the damn mosquitoes, but then due to past experience, I needed to confirm through a lab test, so I won't end up treating the wrong thing...

I went to the lab for a test, but unfortunately, I got there late, and they were already closed. I could not wait till the next day, so I went to a pharmacy nearby and explained to the pharmacist the symptoms I am having, and as I guess, she also said it could be malaria, and she gave me Amatem softgel, a malaria drug.

I would feel better for a few hours after using this drug, then I would start running a temperature again. I used it for two days to be sure it is not working and after the temperature didn't leave, I had to go back to the lab to run malaria and typhoid test and the malaria was confirmed, I told the lab technician that I was already on drugs but not working, without telling her the name of the drug she said if it is amatem softgel, it won't work which means the malaria parasite are now resistant to this drug, she suggest I go for artesunate instead but the damn pharmacist gave me P-Alaxin and I started using that yesterday, my temperature still goes off and on and I only feel at easy for few hours after using the drug before the hot temperature start again.

So I feel these parasites, viruses, fungi, bacteria are also evolving and can now withstand their killers, or could it be natural selection in which the drug only kills the weaker ones and the stronger ones live, whichever it is, I can't wait to get better, I hate sickness!

Sometimes, it is our negligence that made them resistance, when we abuse drugs by not using them at the appropriate time, the doctor said use it 3 times daily but you only use it once or twice and sometimes even forgetfully skip a day, these things mutate very fast and if you dont deal with them fast enough, you may not be able to kill them with the same drug again.

I fear for humanity.
