It's sad that a lot of children are judged for the sins of their parents. You'll see parents warning their kids to stay away from certain children in school simply because the father is a thief. Or something along that line. Such subtle form of isolation is also a form of punishment.

It's not good to isolate them as it's also a punishment but at the same time you won't dare to take risk in your case also. So, it's hard to avoid the consequences of parent's sin.
