People's Problems!!!

I’ve always said that one of life’s major problems will always be man. People will be people’s problems, because the majority of the problems that humans have to suffer through are man-made. Yeah, nature is messed up on its own with earthquakes, famine, droughts, and whatnot, but that’s only a fraction of the things that can happen to a person.

Hell, it’s possible to live a full and rich life without ever experiencing a famine or a drought. It’s very possible. But what is not possible is living life without coming up against one of man’s problems. No matter how you look at it; poverty, hunger, joblessness… It’s made by man. And that’s the gospel truth.

And I feel that it’s like this because we all have free will, and even better, we have imagination. We’re creative, and we have this innate ability to think outside the boxes that we came in. People beat poverty because they’re able to think beyond the limitations that poverty placed on them. We’ve made remarkable movies in tech, health, transport, and whatnot, simply because people wanted more for themselves. They wanted better. And for you to actually want better, you need to believe that there is a need for better.

But then, the truth is that true pain is what brings about real progress. If someone hadn’t been sick of walking or riding horses, they would never have imagined inventing cars. We’ve come so far in medical technology simply because many other people had to die or suffer greatly for the researchers to come up with enough data to provide cures and whatnot.

But then, for some of life’s biggest problems, our big bad will always be free will. As long as we have free will, we will always have people at loggerheads with each other. Because naturally, we all want what is best for us, but while some are willing to get it by any means necessary, even at the cost of hurting people, others are simply looking to do it the longer and harder way.

And as a result of free will, we have most of life’s problems; favoritism, corruption, greed… the list goes on. These things go on to have a devastating effect on the world at large. This is why kids would be starving and out of school while their leaders would be pocketing their money, living large while their subjects are wallowing in abject poverty. It’s not like they don’t know the right thing to do, they very much know. They just don’t care enough to do it.

I’m not saying that free will is the devil here, I’m just saying that man himself is the devil because many times, they choose to do what works for them and not what works for the community. So, will a perfect world be possible? I just don’t think so. As long as there are people who believe that they can do some shitty things and get away with it without consequences, we’ll keep having these same problems plaguing humanity.

It’s so unfair, but then, what can we do? The world, being imperfect, is just perfect as it is. Because we have a balanced number of good and terrible people, it's bad enough to inspire growth for individuals and on a global level, but it’s also good enough to inspire hope for the coming generation.

Now, if that wasn’t perfect, I really don’t know what is.
