Malaria Typhoid Never Had Good Plans For Me.

What is more important than a good health, life is useless without it. As they always say that one of the greatest and the most important form of wealth is health, and this saying is always truth.

You will not know the big privilege you have for being healthy until when you are faced with a sudden illness or disease, then you learn how to appreciate life more when you always find yourself in good health, it is really a big blessing.

When you visit the hospital to see what people are passing through you will not wish to be where they are, you get to know that the headache that held you down for just an hour and went is nothing compared to the chronic illness people are facing there.

Visiting the hospital is not what everyone would wish for themselves, that would be the last thing on anyone's list. In as much we don't want to visit the hospital sometimes we can't decide, because we can't totally control our body not to get ill, anything can happen to your health at anytime and you will left with no choice than to visit the hospital for check up and treatment.

My last visit to the hospital was when I had Malaria Typhoid. Here in Africa we now see malaria as common sickness, sometimes we just consider it to be on the same class of sickness with headache, were we just take a few tablets and expect the malaria to take care of himself, we usually do this even we know how dangerous and deadly that sickness could be.

I was also part of the gang who saw malaria as a minor sickness where a few medication and tablets can calm it down easily for good. Not till one day when the Malaria wanted to show its real self to me.

I was in college when I got ill, when I discovered it was malaria, I decided to the normal thing go the pharmacy and get some few drugs and that is all for the sickness. After following my regular methodology for treating malaria and never went for major treatment, the next day came when I was about to take my bathe in the morning, as soon I was about entering the bathroom as the only thing I could remember the next place I saw myself was on a sick bed lying down...

I woke up surprised and confused on what had happened to me. When I looked up it was my friends with panic on their faces, I had to ask what had happened to me and they told me how I slumped and past out in the bathroom, they were afraid and decided to rush me to a nearby hospital, that was how I got there.

I was directedd to go an immediate test and the result showed that I had a serious Malaria typhoid, the doctor said the sickness had accumulated too much that's was why it weighed me down.

I decided to do a thorough and proper treatment there and I was also given the required injection. I spent about 4-5 days before I was discharged from the hospital.

I learnt a big lesson from that day to always give more attention and proper treatment when faced with an illness. I never wanted to go further treatment because I was afraid of going to the hospital, but you know what it was better to go for check up when the sickness is still in it's infant stage, than to go when it has gotten to the chronic stage then you will be left with no choice by visiting the same hospital you have been avoiding since. Hope you learned something from my experience.

Thanks for stopping by.
